Hello splinterlands players? How are you doing today? I have missed two weeks of challenges due to my workload; I don't like to miss but it is bound to happen. I wanted to write about last week's challenges, but when I checked the time that was left for me to prepare for the post, it was 30 minutes. I knew I would not finish the post, and that was the reason I did not attempt it.
In my today blog post, I will talk about new abilities in splinterlands. If you are familiar with modern rank battles, or wild rank battles you will understand both abilities.
Bloodline is an ability that when a monster with such ability is defeated, the bloodline is triggered and all the friendly monsters in the lineup gain +1 additional stats- health, armor, speed and attack.
That was exactly when Moribund Arrowbait was defeated.
Most of my opponents often used Moribund Arrowbait in the first position; and such battles were very difficult for me.
Execution is another ability that is very dangerous! Monsters with execute ability can perform two attacks in one round.

Monsters Arrangement

Halfling Refugee
Splinter: Neutral ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Weary
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 1
After I carefully checked monsters that were available when I was picking them. I realized that Halfling Refugee was the strongest melee monster that was available.
Well! Halfling Refugee may not be among your strongest monsters, but it is one of my strongest monsters because with 6 1 mana, I acquired Halfling Refugee.
The second reason I used Halfling Refugee was the chance to use powerful monsters.
Imagine if I have used a monster with 9 mana such as a Leolin Sifu; it would have distorted my lineup, and I wouldn't have been able to use one of the magic monsters.
When Bellowmancer was eliminated in the first round, Halfling Refugee was still in the battle. Though, Halfling Refugee was eliminated in this battle in the first round.
I didn't expect Bellowmancer to get eliminated before Halfling Refugee due to health and armor.

Janni Rebel
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬🧬
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Ability: Flank and Inspire
Health: 9 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
I knew **Halfling Refugee would not make it in this battle. Hence, I placed Janni Rebel to replace it. Toward the end of round 1, Halfling Refugee was eliminated and Janni Rebel led the battle.
I didn't select Janni Rebel In this battle due to her ability (flank and inspire), I brought it in second position because it could lead and attack the battle in the first position. More also, it was the monster with the highest health in my lineup.
By the end of round 2, Janni Rebel was eliminated in the lineup.
That was the end of Janni Rebel!
One thing that stood out in Janni Rebel was that, before it was eliminated, she was consistently damaging the health of opponent’s monsters.

Mystic MudBinder
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Oppress
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️
Armor: 4 🪖🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
Mystic MudBinder led the lineup by the end of round 2, i.e after the elimination of Janni Rebel . It was eliminated in the round of 3; and before it was eliminated, there was a tremendous impact on the monster.
Mystic MudBinder was the last of its kind to be eliminated in my lineup.

Rila Fen
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Divine Shield
Health: 7 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 8
Sincerely, the reasons I selected 4 magic monsters were to attack health directly. I knew that failure to select 4 magic monsters would lead to defeat.
If I selected four melee monsters, I wouldn’t have be able to eliminated Bellowmancer in the first round, which would have posed more threat in my lineup.
Therefore, Rila Fen was picked to put more pressure on the opponent's monsters.
By round 3, Rila fen led the lineup and delivered the victory.

Celestial Guardian
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Ability: Flying
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️
Armor: q 🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 8
The strategy I used in this battle was to use arranged magic monsters from 2nd position to 5th position. If I used a ranged monster in the third position, it would not attack when it led the battle. Hence, I knew the only time that my monster would not attack in this battle would be when the last monster in my lineup led the battle.
I brought Celestial Guardian to offer more momentum in term of attack in this battle.

Luceheim Demon
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: Snipe and Cleanse
Health: 7 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Ranged
Mana: 7
I watched a battle with Luceheim Demon! I was paired with an opponent, and I saw how he/she used Luceheim Demon to dismantle my arrangement. That was how I knew how Luceheim Demon was powerful.
