Modernization of Ranked battles
There is no limit to ranked battle just like before where a player was limited to the particular league. At that time, I was playing Silver League, of which I cannot go beyond silver points. Right now, a player is not limited to a certain league; a player can play with any level of summoners without restriction.
A player needs to be skillful and have cards to compete in the splinterlands right now.
There was nothing like modern rank in the initial setup of splinterlands. The idea was birthed sometime ago to allow the new splinterlands players to enjoy the game more. The good thing about the modern rank is that a player doesn't have to buy a ‘pass’ like wild rank. If a player has enough energy, he or she is allowed to play modern rank.
Note: only cards associated with foundations and the two most recent sets are playable in the modern rank while you can use all cards to play wild battle.
The separation of modern rank and wild rank yielded a positive result in the splinterlands.
Integration of Glint
Glint is one of the splinterlands currencies which a player can use to purchase certain things in the splinterlands.
Glint can only purchase splinterlands items in the ‘Gwen’s Glint shop’.
I have used glint to buy many things in the ‘Gwen’s Glint shop’. That is the only place one can use Glint!
With Glint I have purchased splinterlands assets that are very crucial in the game. Therefore,the integration of Glint allows players to acquire assets.
You can see that integration of Glint brought competitiveness to the game because the more a player loses a battle, the lower he or she earns. The more a player wins in streaks the higher hero she earns. By the following facts, no player is happy to continue losing the battles which brought competitiveness to the game.
Introduction of new resources to land
A few months ago, there were many things that were added to the land such as wood, stone and iron. To farm in the land, new items were added. When it was launched, some players bought more of the new material.
Introduction of Frontier
I got many cards that can be sold, rented and transferred through frontier. One thing that makes me happy about frontier is that all the cards I got through the frontier are 100% owned by me. I can do them the way I like. Frontier is a new challenge which can make one acquire many cards. For instance, there is a weekly draw that is going on in the frontier; and I have seen players win gold foil and black foil cards .
New card sets
#conclavearcana was launched some months ago, and is still running. The latest development is the conclave arcana reward, and I believe it will run for sometime.
The release of new card sets brings competitiveness into the game through the abilities of some of those new cards. Every time a new card set is released, it brings momentum and energy into the game.
When the #conlavearcana was released, and all rebellion cards were transferred to wild rank. It was like I don't know how to play splinterlands because I bought only 5 packs of conclave arcana.
In conclusion, the transformation has contributed massively to the growth of splinterlands. It makes splinterlands to be well engaged by players and always makes it new. Each time a change occurs, it is an avenue for some people to make use of it. Therefore, a player that utilizes an opportunity to maximize profit will always be hoping for more of it.
Another thing I learned about splinterlands is that it does not grow alone, some players are also growing with it.
It is not just a game, it is an investment platform to some people; and it is also a company to some people.
