Apple Has Concerning Privacy Changes

Good Day everyone. This is my very first post on this community. Today I'm going to talk about Apple. So, apple has been a the name in the market that everyone puts on a different level. They make arguably the best designs, products, services, and all their products work seamlessly with one another in a wide array of stuff. Apple is almost covering every corner of your technological needs. At least that's what Apple would stand for if people are asked about.

Another thing people tend to rhyme with Apple, is, privacy. Privacy has been a core selling point of Apple over the last many years. They have been seen out and about bragging about how deeply they care about your privacy or your user data. And how they do not hand over any of the user data to any of usual ad business companies you would know. Seemingly Google or Facebook or whatnot. Which is technically true. But Apple ain't a saint either.

Apple does not directly sell user data to other companies. True. But they do not let other companies stop tracking you either. These are basically the 'sharing cookies' as you would know. So as a part of that, these companies use their apps to track you. And show ads accordingly. Plus whenever Apple hands them your data, Apple makes these data anonymous. And sprinkle some additional data to scramble it from the actual data. So the ads are less relevant and accurate then how you would see on Android. This isn't technically selling user data to ad businesses. So Apple cannot be blamed in that department. But Apple has always bragged about the seamlessness of their operating systems and products. Which obviously gets hampered when we see unwanted or untimed ads. Isn't that true? You wouldn't like to thrown an ad on your face while you're going through something important on your phone? So these ads have been quite a headache on Android. It is relatively less in iOS. But that is where the good news ends.

Let me break it down to you. Apple controls their iPhones, apple watches, airpods, apple speakers and many other products. They even control what these products monitor. The Apple watch literally keeps all your health data and your contact data too. Your iPhone knows what you read, what you watch, what you search, where you go, and who you text. Apple has dedicated apps for all the works I just mentioned. And the user uses it. You see the picture here? Apple essential has all the data they could ever need, about their users. Though they claim that they will never do anything with it. But Google and Facebook also says something similar. The exploits are already visible. Apple shows ads in their app store, in Apple news (even for paid subscriptions), maybe in Apple TV too. And various sources on the internet are claiming that Apple will implement more ads in the future, than what they currently show. To back up this claim, a Bloomberg report suggests that Apple rakes in around 4 billion dollars in ad revenue, annually. And that analysts suggest this number can increase up to 6 billion dollars by 2025.

If what the analysts and the online leaks are saying is true, then Apple will just be another big company getting into the ad market, who have a huge headstart because they don't need other apps to show their ads. They have their own. In the end it's just business. And nobody is a saint.
