I mean, if people don't care what happen in prisons it's because they are criminals, and men do care it's just that the chance of having an issue when being a female is way higher so you can't not care.
1 out of 3 women get raped during her life, every girl i know already lived a situation of sexual harassement or sexual assault. The chance of getting attacked is way higher.
So i think this fear is normal, normal to have, not normal to exist.
