I had never planned for this ever in my life to have pets and never imagined myself to have kittens in my home but here I am. I noticed first two little ones walking around slowly at the porch, they were so cute so I tried to get close to them. They seemed to be lost, looking everywhere with their tails and neck shaking, I knew they were very young perhaps a few weeks old, they were sniffing the grass. I later saw the mother looking on her side, with her ears cocked back, looking a bit suspicious, perhaps she thought I was a threat. Out of the kindness of my heart, I went to the freezer to get some fish, warmed it up and fed them. That was it, my big mistake right there.

I thought they might stay a night, two maybe.
Well, they are now permanent residents, don't know whether to say fortunately or unfortunately. I have not been able to kick them out till now.
It is a hypnotic sight to see them breastfeed I must admit, so cute. One has dark, brown and white fur and the other one looks almost exactly like her mother. They like touching her, and at one point I noticed them fighting, well maybe that's what they thought they were doing but I'm seeing it as they were rubbing themselves with their tiny paws.
She does not look like she's annoyed, instead, very patient and allows them to breastfeed. Naturally very caring. I barely hear the mother meow, except when she sees food and is too hungry.
I even got some shots since it is difficult not to watch this show. They move around, stop moving and sleep, then move again and then see the differences between them. One is louder than the other, the dark brown spotted one will start making loud noises the moment you pick it up but the white one is quieter. So even at this young age, their personalities are beginning to emerge.
I have to say, the house is not the same with them around. I guess one invitation and free food is all it takes and you're a cat owner by force.
They explore for a second and run back to the mother, always coming back for her warmth and smell. I thought I was taking care of them, but really, I think theyโre taking over me. Because when I want to have a little fun I go pick them up, not the dark one cause that one will just start yelling like it's about to die. Funny thing is, the mother is comfortable with me picking them up, well as long as I'm feeding them I think.
Their mother occasionally steps away to sniff the room and I'm thinking it's checking the security of my house or where to relocate them. The three of them somehow have decided without my permission that this is their new home now.
For now I've given them a little box at the porch, when we get closer and if she allows me to give her a bath then maybe I can think of sending them indoors.
