BOARD GAMES : A TOOL TO STUDY THE ENEMIES MIND & PLANS......

source

My love for board games started many years ago, at first I saw board games as a way of just relieving stress and tension, little did I know there was more to playing board games than I understood, I could only play with an unskilled opponent since I knew very little on how to use my pawns to my advantage, I play what I see and end up getting thrashed by a professional player...

My love for board games didn't start yesterday nor did it start today, it is something I have loved since way back, the disappointing fact about my love for these board games is that I never taught myself how to play them, nor did I make an attempt to learn from the professionals around me, I was not serious about it but I loved it a lot. I only love and understand board games to an extent but I can't play...

Year after year I kept on stumbling upon many board games, board games like draughts, chess, scrabble, monopoly, and Snake and Ladder were the first set of board games I came across, I was a big fan of these board games but I could only play chess and draught with an unskilled player and with the professionals, I knew little about it...

The more I grew the more I realized many facts about board games, I never knew board games, I never knew board games could be used to capture more territories during wars until I watched a Chinese series years ago where a board game called GO was played by two potential rulers who plans on becoming the emperor someday...

It got to a point where these two state rulers had to face each other head-on to know the strength and capabilities of each other, these two rulers set up the board game called GO and played against each other, to the people it was just a fun game between two rulers but to the players and every other person who understood the game of GO completely, these two rulers had fought intense battle on the board, and therefore have come to know each other's strengths and weaknesses...

The winner of the GO game is likely to win the war or battle when brought to the physical if he or she plays their card well, and this is because they now know how the minds of their opponents work, they now know their strengths and weaknesses, all of which include their battle plan and strategies...

After seeing who rules the world, I came to love board games more, I did some digging after that and I came to realize the game of GO is a means of fighting a virtual battle, it helps rulers and fighters study their opponent up close, these game reveal many things, all which include battle plans, strategies and mode of attack...

I found out about this and respected board games the more, the game looks complicated to an ordinary man, but to a professional player, every move means something crucial, especially in a battle for territories...

Moving ahead on how a harmless board game can determine one's loss and win in a war and how strategy can make you win in complex situations...

THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING A STRATEGY...

A lot of lives have been lost in wars and battles because of something we call lack of strategy or weak strategy, many soldiers in the past took the importance of having a strategy for granted, which at the end of the day ends up claiming the lives of their comrades...

It is impossible to win a battle without a detailed strategy, having a detailed strategy gives you an edge over your opponents, gone are the days when strategies were not needed, in this modern age and time, strategy and plan are everything needed for the success of a war...

Going to battle without a plan or a strategy is what we call a suicide mission, strategy helps soldiers plan their attack and defense based on the movement of their opponents, soldiers would be able to limit the impact of an attack made by their opponents thanks to a detailed strategy and battle plan. The strategy reduces the casualties that could be suffered in war, with a detailed strategy, a war can claim ten thousand lives while a hundred thousand lives can be claimed without a strategy...

Having a strategy doesn't guarantee success but having a detailed strategy is a key factor that can lead to success. There are many factors responsible for the success of war or battle, battle strategy is one of them, but there are many other factors responsible for its success, factors as weapons and warriors readiness is also needed to ensure success, a lot of things are needed but a detailed battle plan and strategy gives a greater chance of winning...

In summary, building a flexible strategy is not an easy task, it is a big job, for a flexible strategy to be built, there must be a spy planted in your enemy camp, this spy will be the one to update you on their mode of attack and defense, this way opponents can prepare beforehand on how to counter their enemies defense and also how to strike hard...

Flexible strategy can also be built from the study of opponents' fights and formations, it can also be built through stakeouts near enemy camps but the most effective way to build a flexible strategy is by planting a spy in an enemy camp...

In conclusion, going to battle without a detailed strategy, plan and good formation is a suicide mission, strategy surely does increase one's chances of winning a war...
