Pen Drawing Portrait of 142 Diego

This is my pen drawing for 142 Diego. I knew it would be difficult to draw his portrait with pen. But I faced it. I believed I could do my best.

First, I drew the sketch. His head and legs are the main focus of this sketch. Then I drew the eyes and nose. After finished the head, I continue to draw the other hair parts by guessing the right position with lines. In this sketch, the key was to draw the position of the arms and the width of the chest in proportion.

After finished the sketch, I started drawing dedail shades from his head. I drew the hair by distinguishing the parts. Then I drew details for the hair lines. And I drew detail for the glasses, nose and mouth. After drawing the mustache, I have finished drawing the head details. I continued shading for his hands and chest. His front area is large. So I didn't fill the shades full because of I want the light style for the Tshirt. I had to be patient and focused because I was drawing guitar shades in detail. I love drawing because it calms my mind. If our minds are calm, our actions will be correct.

This is final step. I continued to draw for the trouser shades. In pen drawing, the intersection different directions is key. Pen drawing requires patience, as you have to fill in large areas with small pen lines. I patiently worked on filling in the detailed shades. I continued to draw the trouser shades. I didn't draw my full shades to achieve a light trouser shading. Then, I wrote the text. Finally, I finished my pen drawing for 142 Diego.
