GOLD VS ANXIETY

Hello great city and its citizens! I hope youre having a blissful week, just decided to stop by and make a first post a citizen blunt.
Coping with anxiety is a journey that many of us embark on at some point in our lives. The weight of worry, the grip of fear, and the racing thoughts that come with anxiety can feel overwhelming and all-consuming. But fear not, for there are ways to navigate through the storm and find moments of calm amidst the chaos.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Anxiety is defined as

          an abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear often marked by physical signs (such as tension, sweating, and increased pulse rate), by doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and by self-doubt about one's capacity to cope with it

At some point the crypto market has been going well but lately the crypto market’s been volatile some days up, some days down and people are talking again about a possible major rally. With that kind of optimism around, I made several investment decisions crypto assets, fully expecting gains but instead, the market turned against me and I’m watching values slide 😂 lol, imagine i had bought some piece of Gold instead…
This money is hard-earned money which I believe will bring me lots of profit but instead, it brought a lot of loss. I couldn't sell nor was there joy in my heart.

I felt so bad the more I checked the market, my heart would skip a beat at any green sign I saw when I opened my exchange app. There was no significant growth and this caused me lots of pain because my investment kept going down the drain and there was nothing I could do.

Now i am not saying the crypto market isnot good to invest or harder to keep track of things but you see gold stacking wont give you any form of anxiety so most likely you won’t even think about coping but rather resting and flexing

I started feeling sad for a moment and nothing felt fun or made me happy again.

How did I get over this feeling and help myself become happy?
One of the first steps I took in coping with anxiety was acknowledging and accepting my feelings and also accept that i went aganst gold the first love 😅😅.

OI knew I was anxious, and it was important to understand what I was experiencing, so I expressed my emotions to my friend who has been in the line for a long time.

Another thing I did was to stop checking the cause of my sadness (The Crypto Market). The more I looked at the market, the more I became sad. It is tough to look away because I wanted to see growth but I wasn't. My dad would say "It is better to let go of a problem you have no control over" I had no control over the market, so I just let it go and focus on other important areas of my life.

I started doing things that make me happy. I took a walk with my friend. While walking, we spoke about the market and what could be the cause. Since she has very little knowledge of crypto, I had to explain everything little by little, which made me realize how knowledgeable I was in the crypto world. She was proud, and I felt happy.

Coping with anxiety is a process that requires patience, self-compassion, and perseverance. By incorporating mindfulness, seeking support, practicing self-care, setting boundaries, and seeking professional help when needed, you can empower yourself to navigate through anxiety and cultivate a sense of calm, resilience, and inner strength.

Every problem has a solution, you just need to look and ask for help.
