As I painted this piece I’m reminded of my own personal journey through life, particularly being a young creative person in Nigeria.
I am often scared and uncertain… I often experience those phases every growing individual who wants to get the most of life experience; I’m reminded of strength, too.
I’m reminded of how I have moved levels of life, like a game where you unlock a level only to meet some other challenges in the next. I’m reminded of how fiercely I’ve battled with life, like Jacob did with the Angel, only that my name didn’t change; of how strong and determined I have been. I’m reminded of why I choose to live and why I wake up each morning with the faith that my two frail legs would carry the weight of my body. I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness.
I’m reminded of colours and faces and how expressions tells stories that matters.

Interesting expressive work. Watercolor is a very difficult technique. Not all creators can apply it effectively in their artistic works. My congratulations. Thank you for allowing the community to appreciate your works. 👍🎨👏👏👏
