En un mundo contaminado y destruido, su antiguo dibujo se convierte en su única e invaluable reliquia.
Es uno de mis dibujos tristes y reflexivos donde una niña ha sido víctima de un destino cruel donde todo ha cambiado a su alrededor pero entre sus manitos mutiladas, conserva una reliquia muy valiosa para ella. Esa reliquia es su refugio que la motiva a seguir viviendo, a soñar, a tener esperanza de que algún día la cruda realidad cambie pero por el momento, su simple, hermoso y colorido dibujo, es su Reliquia original.
A través del dibujo los invito a valorar lo que tenemos. Cuidemos a nuestras familias, nuestro hogar, nuestros recuerdos, nuestro mundo.
En la obra represento una niña con careta antigas y deformaciones en su cuerpo que con sus guantes sostiene un dibujo que es lo más importante de su vida pues con crayolas de diversos colores, dibujó su familia y su hermoso hogar en un bello paisaje. Mientras todo en la obra lo dibujé con lápiz, el dibujo que sostiene la niña lo hice con crayolas para crear un alto contraste entre su desgarradora vida actual y su alegre pasado donde jugaba con sus padres, no había contaminación, ni sequía, ni guerra.
Para realizar el dibujo utilicé:
-Cartulina de 63.5 cm x 65.7 cm
-Lápices HB, 2B y 4B
-Crayolas
-Hoja de papel para apoyar la mano al dibujar y evitar ensuciar o dañar la obra.
-Lákar de pelo para fijar el grafito y crearle una capa protectora al dibujo.

In a polluted and destroyed world, her old drawing becomes her only invaluable relic.
It's one of my sad and reflective drawings where a girl has fallen victim to a cruel fate: everything around her has changed, yet between her mutilated little hands, she clings to a relic deeply precious to her. This relic is her refuge—the thing that motivates her to keep living, to dream, to hope that one day this harsh reality will change. But for now, her simple, beautiful, and colorful drawing is her Original Relic.
Through this drawing, I invite you to cherish what we have. Let’s protect our families, our home, our memories, our world.
In the artwork, I depict a girl wearing a gas mask, with body deformities. Clutching gloves, she holds a drawing—the most important thing in her life—where she used colorful crayons to sketch her family and her beautiful home in a serene landscape. While everything else in the piece is drawn in pencil, the drawing she holds is rendered in crayons to create a stark contrast between her heartbreaking present and her joyful past: a time playing with her parents, free from pollution, drought, or war.
To create the drawing, I used:
- Cardstock (63.5 cm x 65.7 cm)
- HB, 2B, and 4B pencils
- Crayons
- A sheet of paper (used as a handrest to prevent smudging or damaging the artwork)
- Hairspray (to fix the graphite and create a protective layer for the drawing)
