"Round"

I can hear
the song of frogs.
It reminds me of the old days when everyone gathered together
and sang songs.
I wonder if children today sing songs like that too.
In a round song, one part sings first,
and then the other parts sing after a delay.
We sang simple songs,
but they still produced beautiful harmonies.

かえるのうたが
きこえてくるよ
昔みんなが集まって
歌った思い出
今の子どもも歌うのかな
輪唱はあるパートが先に歌うと
別のパートが遅れて歌うので
簡単な歌を歌っていた
それでも美しいハーモニーを
生み出していた
