At the far end of the hallway
In a corner of the science lab
Specimens were crammed together
Skeletal models
And specimens preserved in formalin
They looked like creatures
That had lost their vitality
Staying still like this
Sleeping forever

廊下をずっと渡ったところの
理科室の片隅に
所狭しと標本が並んでいた
骨格の標本や
ホルマリン漬けのもの
それは生き物が
生気を失ったような姿
このまま動かずに
ずっと眠っているのだ
