Long ago
I got rid of everything
But my toy box
Was packed full of dolls and little games and other toys
If I turned it upside down
And emptied out all the toys
I'd instantly feel like I'd entered a dream world
And I'd get completely absorbed in playing
But I could never seem to clean it up
I remember always getting scolded by my mother

「おもちゃ箱」

だいぶ昔に
すべて処分したけれど
私のおもちゃ箱は
人形や小さなゲームやその他のおもちゃが
いっぱい詰まっていた
それをいちいちひっくり返して
おもちゃを全部出せば
たちまち夢の世界へ入った気分になる
そうして夢中になって遊ぶ
ところがなかなか片づけられなくて
いつも母に怒られていた記憶がある
