A slow start...

The Cycling Community was created way back in 2020. A month earlier I had registered my account on Hive and since couldn't find a community for cycling enthusiasts, I decided to create one myself.
This wasn't a success. I didn't have a lot of followers and knowledge of how to promote the community, so it didn't took off.

A couple of months later I decided to give it another go and started promoting the Cycling Community again. This time it went a bit better. More followers and experience surely helped. In a couple of months the number of subscribers grew to 99 and today with the subscription of @jloberiza we even celebrated the 100th member of this community.
And still there must be many more cycling enthusiasts out here that haven't found their way to the Cycling Community, so there is a lot of potential to grow even bigger.

The Cycling Community

The Cycling Community is a platform for all cyclists and cycling enthusiast where they can share information about their passion for cycling, bikes, rides, news, gadgets, maintenance and so on... You don't even have to own a bike to join this community

@run.vince.run creates a weekly Cycling news blog with details of the different pro cycling races which is very interesting.

Supporting cyclists

The Cycling Community is ment to give cyclists and other cycling enthusiasts a platform, but also to support them.
The Community Account has received some delegations and is used to upvote cycling related posts. Cycling posts that are posted in other communities are reblogged in the Cycling Community.
I'm also trying to register the community for the @OCD Community Incubation program. Hopefully it will be accepted for this. I think this will draw more attention to the community and gives it a boost to grow bigger.
