I summarised the first part of yesterdayās ride in this video. It was over 30 km round trip. In the first stretch, I passed through the municipalities of Cerro, Centro Habana, and Old Havana.
On the way back, I crossed all that again and headed into El Vedado, descending along Avenida de los Presidentes to merge onto LĆnea Street. At the iron bridge in Miramar, I stopped to record the wind coming from the sea.
A cold front is coming in, and they say itās going to be really coldāthe kind of cold that feels like a scorching summer to Europeans, perfect for shorts, flip-flops, and a T-shirt, while here weāre ready to pull out the Eskimo coat.
Miramar connects to Marianao, and Marianao to Calle 100āand at home, Chanel was waiting for me, hungry, though not more than I was, of course. This cyclist couldāve devoured aā¦ a whole pot of meat. She also arrived with a cramp in one foot. But as soon as I got off the bike and walked on solid ground, it went away. I was clearly in need of anchoring.
