I summarised the first part of yesterdayâs ride in this video. It was over 30 km round trip. In the first stretch, I passed through the municipalities of Cerro, Centro Habana, and Old Havana.
On the way back, I crossed all that again and headed into El Vedado, descending along Avenida de los Presidentes to merge onto LĂnea Street. At the iron bridge in Miramar, I stopped to record the wind coming from the sea.
A cold front is coming in, and they say itâs going to be really coldâthe kind of cold that feels like a scorching summer to Europeans, perfect for shorts, flip-flops, and a T-shirt, while here weâre ready to pull out the Eskimo coat.
Miramar connects to Marianao, and Marianao to Calle 100âand at home, Chanel was waiting for me, hungry, though not more than I was, of course. This cyclist couldâve devoured a⊠a whole pot of meat. She also arrived with a cramp in one foot. But as soon as I got off the bike and walked on solid ground, it went away. I was clearly in need of anchoring.
