There are far more criminals than cops. I am just not willing to live in a world where I have to walk around among the criminals carrying a loaded gun. I am not going for living in a restrictive boundary of tribalism either, nor be under the supervision and be told what to do by a tribal leader just to survive anarchy.

Most cops are criminals.
Petty criminals, mostly, but still, violating rights is a crime.
Presuming enough men in the crowd, you won't have to worry about protecting yourself, there will be a man around to do it.
But, I still recommend a gun for you so you can protect yourself should one of those men go rogue.
If I don't have the authority to write my rules down and force them onto you, and you don't have the authority to write your rules down and force them onto others, and neither of us can delegate an authority we don't have, where do the cops get their authority?

From the voters who fund them, at least that's how it's done here. Usually starts with a proposal to fund a police force, station, jail, etc., whatever the community feels they need, it grows from there as the population grows, salary funding usually isn't voted on, maybe there's some percentage figured based on a communities tax base. If it's needed money for a larger building, jail, etc., they usually go to the taxpayers through another proposal for a mileage request. If the voters turn them down, they have to look elsewhere for the funding.

They take their 'authority' from people by forcing them to comply.
Taxpayers are slaves.
They have no choice but to comply, or be attacked by cops.
'We should thank these bullies for taxing us because if they didn't other bullies would.'

Earlier flipping through another site there was some mention of climate change, a poster quipped there is no climate crisis, the climate has been changing for thousands of years. I was really tempted to say that thousands of years ago we didn't have plastics, but ultimately, I had just made a long comment, and really, does anyone really hear the severity involved. Especially since those with addresses would just prefer the money and kids change their genders.
They have lied to us about everything else, but they are telling us the truth about this?
