Blessings in disguise

Have you ever thought how difficult our survival would be in this world if we did not feel pain? Imagine your hand placed on a burning stove, and you don’t feel the pain. What would be the result? The hand will burn completely. It is the pain that saves you from burning.

Imagine you are wounded badly, but you don’t feel the pain. You will bleed to death.

Whenever there is something wrong inside our body we feel the pain. It alerts us to find some treatment. If our body doesn’t show pain, we would never find out that there is some trouble inside. Our system would weaken and collapse as a result.

Pains are one of the greatest blessings of God. We must be grateful to Him for He has given us the sense to feel pain.

Not only the physical pains but the emotional pains are also a blessing. We feel emotional pains for two broader reasons: either something wrong is done to us or we have done something wrong.

What if we do something wrong and do not feel regret? We will keep on doing wrong; we won’t change our behavior. When we feel the pain in terms of regret and guilt, we are likely to change and become better humans. The voice of conscience helps us feel that pain and pushes us to make right our wrongs.

If we feel pain for our own mistakes, we should not let it destroy our emotional well-being. Instead, we should be grateful to God who allowed us to be able to recognize our faults. We should use this opportunity to change these behaviors.

When we feel we have been mistreated by someone, we feel the pain. That pain shows us the real face of the world. It leads us to the desire of being independent. It helps us become strong. We do things and take such steps that help us to grow.

Mistreatment by others helps us distinguish between right and wrong. It makes us wise. It helps us to make courageous decisions for ourselves.

When we attempt to do something and fail, we feel pain. At this time instead of crying and losing hope, we should think of some other ways. We should consider it as another door of opportunity opened for us. If we believe that God has created pains as blessings we can certainly grow and reach great heights. As @anacristinasilva stated in her post Everything is worth it when you have gratitude

everything happens for a simple reason that we don't care to know at this moment.
