What is peace? Is there one definition? What does it mean to have peace and at what price? What are objectives of peace?
These are the questions that go round in the world but what peace simply is, is to have calmness, serenity and simply put a quiet life. One thing that every want and would literally fight to get it is peace, they are willingly to pay any price for it and in essence of that causing conflicts or war but in the end no matter what way it comes, it surely comes.
For as long as we can remember, humans have been in search of one thing, which is peace because what humans want is an environment that’s productive, beautiful both physically and spiritually, a world with freedom and an atmosphere in which everyone can co-exist. For a nation to prosper, and humans to secure and reach their full potential or to greater heights, they make it their ultimate goal to first of all search for a peaceful environment, a peaceful workplace, neighbor and it whatever it is that can make them achieve that potential but it all boils down to peace.
In order to achieve peace, we need not to rush the process because peace comes when we mutually understand each other and we must first find peace within ourselves before trying to get it with others.

Take your time and find inner peace within yourself so that when you smile and laugh it’s from a place of love and happiness and not you trying to hide your pain so you’re not be judged …
But in all these, there’s still one major challenge that each and every one must overcome to achieve this, willingly or not, unconsciously or consciously and that challenge is conflicts, and war because like every good thing in life they don’t come cheap and so is peace. For us to achieve this peace, we must first overcome different battles if it’s environmental peace, we must first deal with the conflicts around us because every good thing always then to attract bad things and likewise. It will surprise you that even though people crave and search for peace, there are people who also search for conflicts and war, so they go around causing trouble or violence.
What are the objectives of peace?
One of the objectives for peace is for is human survival or rather to prevent human extinction. Like we all know for there to be any survival or a species there must be peace because when there’s conflict and war, there’s high tendency that human survival or civilization will go into extinct. Violence is the nature of man and I have always been and once there’s violence or war, there’s shortage of food, water, and the basic essentials for humans to live and with that driving humans into extinct. So for this not to happen there’s need for peace no matter how it comes.
Another objective I feel for peace is a world without violence, but is it really possible? A world without violence and only peace can be both good and bad. If there’s a world with just peace and no violence in settling dispute, how will it look like? And there are also situations where there’s peace and disputes are handled nonviolently but in the world today, peace means having your own weapon, every country building weapons of all kinds like it’s a competition to scare the others in case they dare make a move or start a conflict. There’s so much confusion between ourselves and in the world that we don’t know what we call peace anymore. So is it developing weapons to show who’s stronger? Or accumulating wealth to show who’s richer and to control others?
So another objective for peace is for economic development. For there to be development of one’s economy or growth, there has to be peace because it forms the well-being of the citizens and also the economy market. If there are constant conflicts, it will affect the lives of the people emotionally, mentally and physically thereby altering the well-being of the citizens and also disrupting the development of the economy and its growth. Now imagine there’s war, and buildings are being destroyed, businesses, infrastructures and all etc. the economy and lives of people won’t be balanced again , aside trying to redevelop, they will constantly live in fear and that will definitely affect the growth of the economy.
So what’s the importance of peace?
Peace is an essential part of or daily life that is needed for one to live in harmony, have a productive life and economy. Where there are conflicts, peace exists to stop those conflicts. Peace is like a resource that is needed in an economy or individual to be able to have prosperous society.

To preserve humanity, we need to seek for peace. Once we lose peace, the foundation has been distorted.
