This is my response to @clixmoney's DCC theme of the week which is money.

Money is sweet, it is indeed necessary for one to have but it is not the most important thing in life. Happiness, joy, peace of mind, love, friendships, family, and many more are the most important thing and the best thing anyone can have or acquire in life and if one doesn't or can not acquire those basic life needs, acquiring money will be indeed stressful for such persons.

Back in my school days, money was defined to us by our teachers as "A medium of exchange for transactional purposes in an economy".

Perhaps they weren't lying but as we move on, we realized that money isn't the only medium of exchange we have, goods to goods and services to services which we, in a nutshell, call "Trade by better".

I have heard people say money is everything in life, money is an answer to everything which I bet isn't wrong but this is my definition of money.

Money is everything but money isn't an answer to everything in life. There have been cases whereby a man has money but his money can't help heal his sickness, his money can not buy him the peace of mind, the joy and happiness he had always wished he will have once he has money.

No wonder Scripture says "The love of money is the root of evil" and not "Money is the root of all evil" because when one becomes self-centered, greedy, selfish, and covetous just because of money he can never have peace and joy he wishes to have when he has money.

A friend told me a story about his landlord who never sleeps in his mansion or tightly because of the money he has for fear of robbers, although he has money but he does not have the peace he wishes to have.

Even a headline popped up on my phone about a yahoo boy who was able to do all sorts of illegal business and evil stuff just because he wanted money but couldn't enjoy the money because he had just thirty days to live and enjoy the money.

I mean, nobody wants to be poor, so Money is good because one could get by with it by enjoying the good things of life but letting money become a lord over one's life will lead to making one do things that aren't right which is evil and can steal away ones joy and peace of mind.

We go to big establishments to look for jobs and we are asked to pay a penny that we don't even have to get jobs that our knowledge, skills, and certificate can afford us, or else it would be handed over to someone who has the money to pay for it even when they are not even qualified for the job. Who says money hasn't affected our society in a big bad way.

We hear news of a 16-year-old child doing all sorts of rituals or libations just to acquire money and he comes to the internet to scream "School na scam" just because he was able to succeed with that but ends up losing his life and peace of mind just because of money, indeed money has negatively affected the society that in our next generation if we are not conscious of installing discipline in them, they will do worst all because of money.

Nowadays, the world is revolving and as such, they are different legal means for anyone to earn money just anywhere you are.

But I have real wild peace when I look at this and no money can buy any of this, as it is all free for us to enjoy.

Oh yes, raw nature speaks to my soul about the fact that it is how our lives were intended to be. But of course, our strive for luxury and comfort has ruined the original design.

Those are the exact words of @papilloncharity in his article titled A real African sunset and I am indeed glad that I came across his post after a long scroll.

Those words of his caught my attention and the nature pictures he captured.

Having peace, joy, and happiness is supposed to be our priority but our quest for money in whatever way or means we can has deprived many of such simple commodities given to humans by God.

I'm just reading this after reading your other post stating you are a slave to debt.
