It had been a really great day and I got home genuinely happy. That evening's football match had been one of my best, I really was in top form. It started with an hart trick and then another, being the star of the day really got my head in the clouds.
When I entered the house, I met my mom sitted on the couch minding her own business, I greeted her and headed for the bath room but was immediately confronted by my elder sister. She was all red and disgusted, I could see her fuming. With the kind of mood I was in I just smiled and tried to get past her, that was when all hell broke out.
Apparently she was angry that I'd been out for so long doing only God knows what and leaving the dirty dishes unattended to. She started to raise her voice, motioning me to go wash them right away. Still smiling, I told her I was going to do them, but I'll have to bathe and rest a little because I was exhausted. My words fell on deaf ears because the next thing I got was a hot slap on my face.
It didn't take long for another one to come flying, but this time I dodge it and then a cold war started. It went on for a while, then my mom clearly concerned tried to broker for peace and separate both parties. But we didn't listen, we were both engrossed in the fight, each one being fueled by an unrecognizable rage.
We almost about to get to the peak when my mom slipped and fell. At that moment I stopped dead in my tracks, everything stopped for a second and I regained consciousness, I guess same thing happened to my sister. We both ran to help her up, and check if she was fine. Thank goodness nothing really bad happened to her, she just twisted her leg and had some minor injuries.
When war breaks out, innocent people are caught in the web and they end up suffering harsh penalties. It's outrageously stupid and uncalled-for. Most of the time you'll discover that very trivial issues that could be settled with a bit of understanding and tolerance, gets taken to a whole another level and innocent people end up suffering, loss of properties, loss of lives and absence of peace.
Peace for me is the absence of War and conflict. It's a state of living without worry, you're in sync with everything around you, especially nature. Different people have different ways they see peace and different people experience it in different ways. What brings peace to this person might not necessarily be considered as peace to another.
The only way we can have peace on earth is if we learn tolove ourselves first and then love other people regardless of their race, locality, religion, sex and so on. There's no peace without love, love for nature, love for our brothers, love for our neighbors, love for our enemies.
Most times as a way of showing superiority, people become violent, hostile and inconsiderate. The only way we can leave together in peace and harmony is if we can learn to tolerate one another, be slow to anger and find inner peace. I believe that why most people lash out on others is because they're going through one thing or the other, something triggers that aggression that gets passed to another person.
The only way to find inner peace is to connect with what makes us calm, what soothes our soul. Some people find peace by connecting with the supernatural through worshiping and meditating. Others connect with nature,
Just like @papilioncharity describe in his post here
Yes, whenever one sits still nature comes alive to show it's treasures.
Animals, birds and even insects emerge and there is abundant life everywhere. A place of peace and to sit in the shade makes the heat bearable
for some it's the love of being with family and friends, whatever it may be, we just have to find it and try to always connect with that thing.
Nothing good comes with conflict, like the saying goes "whenever two elephants fight, the trees and vegetations suffer", without even knowing it, they get to pay for something they have no idea about. Look at what's happening in Ukraine, innocent people are dying, many have lost properties and assets, some have lost hope, some are becoming so insecure. Is it really a good price to pay for lack of peace?
Peace brings about prosperity, nature can recognize peace, the vegetation grows with so much happiness, trees happily gives out it's shade, people get to live without worry, they don't have to be insecure, the whole earth would really be a lovely place with peace. I think it's actually really possible for the world we live in to be very peaceful. Wouldn't you want that?, Wouldn't it be worth living?

If only the brain of the elephant knows how much suffering their fight bring to the grass and the trees around them, then the rage and war might be over.
Hopefully that the war will not last that long and peace will restore.
Yeahh rightly said, if only he knows, maybe then would the fighting stop.
Thanks for your comment ❤️
I really enjoyed reading your story. I just realized that war can never bring peace in human life. In fact, conflict brings unrest in human life. Thank you very much for explaining your feelings.
Thank you very much for your warm comment @aburihan1 and you're very correct, war certainly doesn't bring about peace at all.
Thank you
