Nigeria Is My Blessed Country

Nigeria is a blessed country and a country where you can be successful. It is a country where one can make progress. Many Nigerians who are in other countries are coming home to build up the country which is fully blessed with many aspects.

My Nigeria is filled up with different cultures and cultural happenings. We have different cultures right here in Nigeria ranging from clan to clan from town to town, from tribe to tribe, from State to state. There maybe some parts in Nigeria where all the States will have one same kind of culture. In Yoruba land, the place I lived in here have different cultural celebrations which in fully aware of but the major one I knew vividly is the one they called Okosi. This is called the god of the river. This is celebrated annually and it is interesting as the fishermen had to dress their boats or canoes in the form of a fish. They will paddle their boats in lines singing songs of praises to the god of water.

There is another one which is related to the Muslims. I love the way Nigerians always celebrate their Sala. This is when they will have to buy Rams and after killing it they will share it to people around. Sometimes, they do take their Rams to the field for betting which will make them to make money. They will make the Rams fight among themselves in the field.

There is a festival called the new yam festivals in the Igbo land. This is specially celebrated yearly. The Igbos have separated ways of celebrating this festival to make people carried away.

Nigeria is a home where we have different kings. The way they dress will show you that they are king's and indeed one just needs to have a separate ways of greeting kings in Nigeria which is ranging from Community to Community. King in Yoruba land is called OBA, in the southern part it is called Ovie, in Igbo it is called Eze, in Hausa, it is called Sarki and so on. So, we do not.joke with our kings and the chiefs in Nigeria.

Nigeria is a great country with talented musicians and artists. We are known all over the world and everyone is having the zeal to see the different musicians we have right here. Any forms of songs you want can be found here.

Nigeria is a home of beauty and a home of different cultural displays.

We have different ways of dressing in Nigeria which are based on culture. In the Niger Delta, the men tie clothes as well as the women, while in the Igbo and Edo, they also have the same lifestyle of tying clothes.

NIGERIA also has different types of food which is also base from one culture to the other. The Niger Delta love eating starch with oguo soup, the Yorubas love eating ewedu soup alongside with tomato soup they normally called omi-ata, the Igbo also loves eating Oha soup. The igbos love anything called vegetable and they have their different kinds of vegetables and the way of preparing them as soup. The Hausa on the other hand eat Tuwo- shikamfa.

Come Nigeria to see the different cultural diversities we have and.the way we celebrate them.

I would love to promote this post by @egboncass Here is his post
He said in his post that:

From production to sound engineering, we make sure our songs are sonically appealing and this is not limited to our A list artists, Even upcoming Nigerian artists are willing to invest in proper production to ensure that the Nigerian standard is met.

Nigeria is good in this aspect of production of sound engineering and musical field.

I love my country NIGERIA

Great contest, wishing you all the best. Thank God I am a Nigerian and can relate to all you said here. Even when people migrate to other places in search of greener pastures, Nigeria still has a lot fun places and things that makes it a great country. Weldone

Honestly everything you said in this article, u can attest to it, Nigeria is such a good country only that we have bad ruler's governing the citizens and not providing the necessary amenities to establish it!

Nice article found it through #dreemport

Thank you for sharing all of this wonderful culturally diverse information about your country Nigeria. It's always so interesting reading about other people's lifestyles. I find it particularly fascinating that you have so many kings there, but then I guess that is because of the many different clans and tribes that exist in Nigeria. I assume that the picture of the goats was taken on your phone? Just a tip going forward that it's useful to state that a photo was taken by you or is owned by you to avoid the questions afterward ;-)

Such an interesting read I always enjoy learning about the culture of other countries

I found my way here via #dreemport

Nigeria is an amazing place with so many cultures, sadly all the bad is overshadowing the good.

This was a fascinating read. I'll be honest I do not know much about Nigeria, actually less than that. Thank you for sharing your love for your country.
