Travelling is what we need to do once in a while for the sake of our mental health. We don't have to be adventurous before we see the importance of travelling. After going through @youngadventuress' post, she further buttressed the need we have to make travel a part of us, at least once in a while. She said:

Finally, finally FINALLY! After ten years of living and loving the South Island, I FINALLY made it to the iconic Dusky Sound! I spent five magical days off the grid with Wild Fiordland, who offers small bespoke adventures on their beautiful boat, the Breaksea Girl. Kayaking, snorkelling, eating, walking, and exploring one of the most remote corners of New Zealand, after flying in by helicopter from Te Anau (badass, I know), was the best adventure I’ve had in a long time.

You can read her post here: Photos that will inspire you to visit Fiordland

Sometimes we need a change of scenery so we can feel that joy and happiness within because the pressure of life are real.

Importance of Travelling?

A. TRAVELLING RELIEVES STRESS AND ANXIETY.

Travelling helps you to take your mind off a lot of things, probably stress from family, at work and the likes. Being in a different environment helps to divert your attention off pressing issues, and focus on new things.

B. TRAVELLING EXPOSES YOU TO NEW THINGS.

Travelling enables you to know other things about other people, other languages, other cultures and appreciate them too, outside your comfort zone. Humans resist change and that's why we feel comfortable with where we are, not ready to take challenges on.

C. TRAVELLING MAKES YOU HAPPIER.

Just like the post I shared above, she expressed her excitement with the new lease of life she got after such a long time. When you travel, learning new and fun things puts you in a good mood and makes you happier, forgetting about all your worries. It even puts you in a better frame of mind when you are happy.

D. TRAVELLING ENHANCES OUR COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

This is one thing many people don't think of, often. Travelling helps to improve our interaction with people around us. We meet new people and engage with people of higher intelligence than us. It helps us to communicate effectively and grow as a person. It opens us up and makes us lend our voice.

E. GET REAL-LIFE EDUCATION.

It's not everything we are supposed to know that is taught in schools. There are many things to life and travelling is part of life. Travelling exposes your minds to lots of things that people around you, in your permanent residence cannot teach you. It's more practical and not just theoretical because you see things with your eyes.

F. TO MAKE MEMORIES.

When you travel, it becomes a part of you, and you are even able to teach people and talk about your experience to other people who do not have the opportunity to travel. Just like the post I shared above, she shared her experience with us. She told us of the memories created while at it. Pictures also help to make creating memories fun.

What You Need To Know Before Travelling:

A. Always make sure you free your mind from any issues bothering you at that moment and let your mind flow with the fun and lovely experiences of the new environment. It enables you not to stifle the fun of the travel experience.

B. Sometimes, it's better to travel alone so you can focus on yourself, have time for yourself and not think of anything or anyone else. It helps you to focus and enjoy your alone time.

C. Make sure you always take enough cash along whenever you're travelling. Anything can happen, and if you do not want to get stranded, you have to be fully prepared. It doesn't have to be too much but something you can afford.

D. Learn a bit about where you are going. Learn about the DOS and DON'Ts, and know about a bit of their language so you can communicate in the least way possible if you ever need help getting by.

Cheers.
