Blog and the world.
The world is a global village where people are sharing information at their disposal. The population is roughly divided into two regarding the flow of information; the author/conveyor and the recipient. The former is the one that start the channel of information passage while the later is the receiver of such information. Having a platform where people meet to get or give information is very important for the free flow of information.
Such a platform is a blog. A blog is a website where people visit to share information. Information ranging from culture, education, sports, knowledge and skills are often shared. Some get the information free while in some instances, it is monetized.
Why blogging?
The word blog can maintain more than one meaning. It could be a noun as explained above or an action word (verb) referring to the act of making entry into a blog. Blogging is therefore, a process through which an individual share information with others through a blog. There is always the opportunity of interaction between the conveyor of the message and the reader and in-between readers.
The advantages of this are numerous. It affords people to defeat the barrier of distance to get information about other people and places. "Information is power" they say, so whatever platform brings people together to share it can't be overemphasized in relevance.
You get to meet people that help in advancing your profession. You get information about other places.
In this regards, despite the fact that I have never been to Norway, but a visit to @armandosodano hive blog made me read about the city of Kristiansand in the Southern Norway. He gave the detailed exposition about the city with pictures in his post where he stated as follows;
The city of Kristiansand is located in the south of Norway and is washed by the North Sea with very indented coastline. with small islets full of vegetation, also has a lovely marina and commercial harbor.
Some people blog about goods and services that are available for exchange with money. Is it health advice that you help some people to stay healthy? We can also talk of financial and investment information.
My blogging experience.
I have had course to come in contact with vital information at the course of participating in blogging. Over the years, I have improved in many facets of life by getting useful and timely information on blogging sites like Facebook, Twitter and other social media. Recently, I was introduced to hive blog and my experience for the past few months has been worthwhile.
In addition to sharing my thoughts with others and also reading from other's perspective about different areas of human endeavours, I now have the opportunity to earn from my activities on the blog. This has really shaped my thoughts about global interactions and idea sharing. It goes a long way to show that someone in Europe or America, for example, can team up with us from Africa to make the world go round for the benefits of human kind.
I have seen where people have come together to render help to someone in need in far away distance.
Few weeks ago, I read here on hive about a lady that lost his life to an accident. The lady was an active hive blogger. I saw the spirit of love and empathy in the way fund was raised through this community to help her family in the burial expenses. In some other cases, I have seen people leverage on blogging to render life saving assistance to others.
We can do better.
If we can checkmate the spread of some fake information that can endanger others, then all we have left about blogging is in the positive. Let's make use of this opportunity to love, empower people, support the needy, conserve the natural environment for better living experiences through purposeful engagements on blogs.
