It seems right after I made my post yesterday about the limits that PeakD was going to be imposing on photo uploads, an announcement was made in the PeakD Discord about the limits having been increased a bit. I literally had no sooner clicked the "Publish" button yesterday when that message game across. I think it's still good info for everyone and it is always helpful to remember the importance of resizing your photos. I realize that might not be as much of an option if you are doing everything from a mobile device, but if you have the ability without sacrificing quality, I would do it.

This is the exact message from the PeakD Discord:

"A new update is live and you should notice higher limits for your uploads. Still tuning, but let me know if it's better today"

Thanks @asgarth for looking into that!

As far as crypto goes, I think everyone is just kind of waiting on the ledge to see if BTC takes a huge tumble or goes up. You could probably say that any day with any day of the week when it comes to crypto, but it feels a bit more precarious right now. Shorts and longs seem to be the talk of the town right now and as I said, everyone is just kind of waiting to see what happens.

I've decided that I am going to take a bit of earnings from my GoMining Position and move half of them into a different wallet, while taking the rest of the BTC and rolling that back into upgrading my miner. It just seems like the smart play right now. That has been a good slow burn when it comes to passive income for me. I just wish I had invested in it sooner!

On the stock side of things, my favorite nuclear company NuScale (SMR) seems to be in a bit of a tough position right now. Something happened with their deal over in Germany, and now there is talk of fraud and in turn that has dumped the stock down to the $5 level. I'm willing to admit I made a mistake not selling when the price was up around $50. However, I don't think this is the end for NuScale. I've been following the company since before they went public, and they don't seem to be the type that would do something underhanded.

Especially with all the scrutiny on them now and so much potential for the future. I have a feeling this is just a wild accusation and a knee jerk reaction by the markets, but I guess only time will tell. Right now it feels like the smart play would have been selling at $50, then being able to buy back in at $5 for either my same position or a stronger one.

It appears the saga is still ongoing here where I work with our health insurance. My brother in law who sells AFLAC supplemental insurance recently came to the school district to try and pick up some new subscribers. Unfortunately, the numbers haven't been that great for him. Just as an example, in our largest building, they only had two visitors all day, and that visitor was me both times stopping in to say hi to him.

I explained to him that our health insurance has increased 46% in just the past two years, so many people are simply trying to figure out how to pay for that. Supplemental insurance is like a pipe dream for them right now.

Speaking of that 46% increase, it appears that after the board meeting on Monday, the school board has agreed to an 80/20 split to help alleviate the cost of the increase to the workers. The thing I find most interesting about the increase is the reason the insurance company is giving for why they are raising the costs.

They say that the costs are going up because so many people are going to urgent care and the emergency room versus visiting their primary care physician (if they even have a PCP). Which, I kind of understand their position, but if I am working all day, and I get finished at 4, and my PCP closes their office at 4:30, I have zero option other than going to urgent care or the emergency room. It seems like knowing this fact, and knowing that these services cost more, they would bake that into the rates, or find a way to adjust the rates to make it less of a penalty.

Personally, I think they just need to take a cannon to the whole insurance industry and start over from scratch, but that's just me.

Well, I made it to the end of this post without getting an error message about all the photos I uploaded, so I think the changes PeakD made seem to be working. I will have to try it out more when I have a really image intense post to make. Asgarth did say that you can keep track of where you are at in your limit by clicking the recent uploads link under the image upload icon.

What are the new limits on image sizes? I had some troubles recently after exporting high res scans of tiff film images that came out huge but with beautiful detail.

The insurance industry does need to be wiped clean with a restart. It is all a big scam.

Always love reading your thoughts! Have a great day, friend.

Don't know how it is over there, but here in Seattle area everyone I know has PCP, but good luck trying to schedule a visit to a specialist, the wait for anything is six months plus. With some of the issues you would be long dead before that visit happens, so PCPs and the specialists basically tell you to just go to the emergency room, which increases those insurance costs...
