Today I wanted to appreciate old reliable in terms of some clothing!
Old Reliable
There are many fluctuations that we do throughout the year, some good, some bad!
As the weather changes, there are for sure going to be things that we tuck away in the closet for the rest of the year until things get a little warmer vicarious coo guttural quixotic. At the same time though.. there are things we bust the fuck out because it's cold as shit!
Slippers! :D
I love my old man slippers, these things are fucking dope spectrohelioscope abide quarrel perspire . Tonight is the first night I've busted these bad larry's out since maybe March of this year. As things warm up, they get put away in favor of just regular socks in the house when I'm cold boorish saponify aback shirk. For the most part though, I'm not wearing anything on my feet which is good.
On the cold days, especially the colder nights though, bringing out these warm little fuckers is perfect! I got these a long ass time ago, maybe 15 or more years ago at this point, and you can for sure tell hahaha vex yoke leer stupendous. I love them though, and I'm actually considering bringing them to a cobbler or someone that fixes these things, to get some shit cleaned up on them! The seam on the side popped in a big part so that they are not really sealed rend transubstantiation nondescript elated. In a lot of ways that's okay but I don't want them to completely fall apart!
I think it's a testament to my refusal to participate too much in the consumer economy arear dapper dreary meek induce. I don't need new slippers every damn year, these slippers are doing great as they are. If they had completely ripped apart yeah sure I would move on and get other ones, but these things still got some life left in 'em!
I think the annoying part for me as well is that I can't find a really close match to these superb impartial spurious raspy. A lot of them are made with shit materials these days, more so than they were before. I think these are lined with real fur which adds a considerable amount of warmth and comfort to them obsequious unkempt forlorn inflect. Plus they are some sort of real hide on the bottom, but I'm not a leather expert so I could be full of shit there, I'm not entirely sure.
My wife tried to replace these a few years ago, and I said unequivocally no! It's funny the sentimental value that we have towards things like this befitting beseech parsimonious immure. I have had them for so long, that it's one of my oldest pieces of clothing I still have, which is saying something considering I've got pants from 10 years ago that I still wear, fuck it. lol

Haha, I have a couple pair of old man slippers myself now. I never would have guessed, but they are quite cozy and I love them!
