Tribe tokens are ultra centralized and there is nothing that needs blockchain. Leo & PIMP & other tribes aren’t Crypto , there projects that don’t even run on hive chain mostly but on layer 2 mainly. A video game program can do all the same stuff. One person can type one line and increase supply by 10,000”% with one click of a button. Treating these things like they have future value and promoting this as investment is scammy AF. I love a bunch of tribe tokens and hold em, Lady & pimp & pizza are fun and involve gamification fun and community! But the way LEO is promoting these tribes like they are there own crypto currency or whatever, it comes off scammy but at this point I’m finna say getting to a very shady point where I could see some legal trouble in future for anyone running these 2021 style get rich quick offerings! At least many offerings were really a blockchain and crypto. Leo here on Hive isn’t a crypto , it’s a single person controlled gamification token that happens to use a blockchain called Hive to do so. I think Leo will end up being one of the worst things to ever happen to Hive reputation wise! These new offerings with a no value backed artificial peg are going to likely end very badly! TGLD , it’s insane people trust this stuff. It’s sad seeing it so widely promoted all over Hive. Obviously there’s accounts paid to promote it. But they don’t disclose that. And some really do promote just because they want too, but I’d bet 50 accounts are paid in these tokens to post weekly at least. Maybe the regulators will be here soon, that’s no risk to Hive, but the second layer tribes could be looking at audits and legal notices in future.
