RE: On Men, Women, and the Infinite Loop of Madness

in The Pub5 hours ago

“Nope. These people aren’t ready for interstellar anything.” Then they’ll turn the ship around and file Earth under “volatile species with unresolved mating rituals.”

Drop the mike.

HOnestly I wasn't sure what to expect from this post. I've read some pretty dumb shit on Hive about women, which makes me despair, and you know if I ever write a 'Ladies of Hive' post, I don't get as good rewards, though I'll get great engagement from the community? It's almost like all the big curators on Hive are men or something :P Ah, that feels better, I've been meaning to say that for years...

I guess we just have to be tolerant of each other. It's easy to say 'men do this' but to be fair, we can't change them much. AT least they get better around 25 when their brains finally mature a little. I do wonder about same sex relationships and whether they have similiar 'mating rituals' and whether one couple takes on the stupid role and the other one the eye rolling one.

I think hubs and I are a classic example. Not that he's not an highly intelligent male, with a Physics degree and a practical bent that can fix anything and build anything (I had to shop around for years for a man like that, and one that could read as well) but damn he can be stupid.

'Hey honey can you put the honey away?'
'What honey?'
Me, sighing: 'The one in front of you?'

Like why don't you look first before asking? Seriously, you just need to be quiet and think more.

Glad you could make it through and get something from my rant. I just heard that Carlin quote and was inspired to run with it — tongue firmly in cheek.

haha you know I'm sure my wife would point out that I act exactly like your husband in that example sometimes.
