I grew up in Ohio, and we joke that the weather there is like a 800 pund gorilla, in that it does whatever it wants to do. Sunny in the morning, in the 70'2, but freezing in the evening in the 30's to 40's and snow.
In the NOrth we get feet of snow due to the lake effect, and in the south it is more moderate.
Congratulations on your second account getting to 10,000 HP, thats a great accompishment.
I am really trying to get as much cash as possible into my main account, as I am trying to get to 100,000 HP during this bear market and low prices.
Splinterlands
I have sold all my tokens and now starting to sell my cards.
I am just going to focus on building my main account, selling all my second layer tokens except Leo.
I think there are to many Splinterlands tokens for the price to ever come back, and although I enjoy the gane, the set-up rewards players who play consistently and severely penalizes casual players, so I am pulling out my funds. I had heaviliy invested in the rental market, but I no longer get any real return on that either, so it's time to move on and focus on something I can be successful at...
But Good Luck to you there, I know there are many exciting things happening and change there is the norm, so the game played today maybe very different from what I was playing even 4-5 months ago.
Good Luck
Ohio is a fun state. I visit there about once a month or so. We have relatives down near Columbus. Splinterlands is whatever. I can't bring myself to sell anything right now. Not at these prices. I don't know if they will ever recover though.
Near Columbus? I was born there and grew up in the shadow of Ohio State!
Small World!
Regarding selling cards in Splinterlands... it is a slow and painful process for the exact reason you mention. The prices are so low.
I feel bad now, to have paid so much for certain cards, and laugh that some of them were bought at a big discount when I bought them, but I never envisioned the prices would continue to fall.
I also didn't know about the steady march of the new cards, I thought those were rare events and then they turned into reguar occurrances, just shattering the price and value of the previous group of Monsters.
it's hard for the old favorites to hold their value.
There's so much to learn about Splinterlands and the ecosystemm, and they are very expensive lessons.
My inlaws live in Dublin, but I am familiar with many of the areas there. It's a cool town except for all of the annoying Ohio State fans... I just swapped some of my vouchers in to DEC and I plan on selling that when the price is right. It's still a pittance. I'd love for the rental market to rebound. That would be such a nice passive income stream.
