Splinterlands Card Giveaway
Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for almost two years, so new players can only get them in the market, and that can be pretty expensive. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.

This Week's Giveaway
For this week's Blast From The Past Giveaway, I'm giving away this Level 1 Creeping Ooze card.
Gather round children and I'll tell you a tale of the low Mana monsters. Now many of you youngsters may think that the Furious Chicken was the first monster to have 0 mana, and you would be right. But even before that, back when the Furious Chicken was still just a wild dream in ol' uncle Yaba's head, there existed another low Mana monster, the Creeping Ooze.
That's right, the Creeping Ooze. With a cost of only one Mana and no attack, it was the only card of it's kind. But even though it only had 1 health point, it had a very useful ability, Slow. It was a huge hit right off the bat and new strategies were immediately developed to utilize this unique monster. Now, of course, there are many cards that cost 0 or 1 Mana, but the Creeping Ooze is the one that started them all.
When first introduced, you could buy all the Creeping Ooze cards you wanted for a few cents. But over time the price has risen. Today, the cheapest level 1 card goes for a very respectable $1.50 on the Splinterlands market and shows that even now this card has stood the test of time and is still a winner.
If you are just starting out and haven't been able to add a Creeping Ooze card to your deck or just need another one to level yours up, then you should get in on this giveaway. This card will be sent to one lucky winner when this contest closes at post payout time. If this Creeping Ooze card doesn't fit in with your master plan for Splinterlands domination, or if you lack the skill and wisdom necessary to achieve victory with it, you can always rent it to someone else or try to sell it in the market.
