Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia. In today post, I am going to share about How to play Brawl effectively with high win rate or even clean sweep with minimum rental cost (If you are renting for the brawl). Having High win rate in Brawl is very important since the higher win rate, the higher merits we can get thus more gladius cards we can collect. Nowadays, Gladius cards can be used even in ranked battle using the summoners who have "Conscript" ability. In the certain mana and ruleset, Bloodlust ability from gladius card is totally dangerous and could bring us many wins!.
We don't need to rent all cards for the brawl, Some tips which will be explained are given below :
- Understand the ruleset, mana & splinter properly and rent cards according to the ruleset only
- Think to counter the opponent gladius cards

Alright guys, let's go to the first topic :
- UNDERSTAND THE RULESET AND RENT CARDS BASED ON RULESET ONLY -
Once we clicked on the battle option in the "my battle" tab, We'll see the battle rules, including mana, rulesets and splinters available. We can also see the summoners that our opponent has banned.
Here is the example :
So Based on the ruleset above, what cards do you think we need to rent? Ha ha. It's a very difficult battle especially when the ruleset is Noxious Fumes, low mana and llama is banned. In my opinion, we can rent Uriel the purifier (11 mana), Soul Fiend (0 mana), and Lorna Shine (3 mana) if we don't own any of these cards. We can put Soul fiend in the first position and Uriel in the second position. This will give time for Uriel to do his 3x damage due to recharge. Another reason why uriel is choosen is because he has heal ability to recover his health after getting reduced by the Noxious Fumes effect.
This way, We only rent the cards that we need for the battle, no need to rent the whole of the life cards so we can reduce the rental cost a lot. One thing which is very important is that we have to make sure our internet connection is good because we only have 2 minutes and 25 seconds to fill the brawl, so what I usually did is I used 1 minutes to think about the cards I'm going to choose, and then another 1 minute to rent cards at @peakmonsters and 25 seconds to submit the team and recheck the line-up.
- THINK TO COUNTER THE OPPONENT GLADIUS CARD -
Basically all of the gladius cards attack are just the same as common used cards, they only have 3 type of attacks, either melee, ranged, or magic. so here is what we should do to counter these kind of attack :

Another way to counter Gladius card as they have bloodlust is using monster with dispel ability. The common cards are : Goblin Firemage, Venari Wavesmith, River hellondale, Goblin Psychic, Venari Crystalsmith, Temple Priest, Venari Bonesmith, Dark Ferryman, Whelp herder, Venari Spellsmith and Spirit Hoarder. When the gladius card who have activated their bloodlust ability getting hit by monster with dispell ability. All the increased stats will be gone.
The third way to counter Gladius card is to use Halfling Alchemist, since he can half all kind of enemies monster, the example of battle will be given in the next section :)

- KITTY + CURSED WINDEKU, GOOD COMBO FOR LOW MANA -

In Gold league, Cursed Windeku has Tank heal ability which makes him a super strong tank, at Silver league, we can also make him super strong by using him along with Byzantine Kitty as Summoner because she will give Cursed WIndeku heal ability. This kind of strategy is good enough to counter gladius card like Captain Kitty in the above battle. Since her ability is snipe, she has no option other than attacking Cursed Windeku (which can be neglected due to the heal ability, restoring +3 Health Points in each round). This way, Cursed Windeku can kill all of the opponent very easily one by one. Thanks @aostec for the great battle.
- HALFLING ALCHEMIST TO COUNTER GLADIUS CARD -

Halfling Alchemist is another way to counter gladius card, as we can see in the above battle, initially, quora has 2 melee and 2 magic attack, but after getting hit by affliction, her attack became lower, 1 melee and 1 magic only and these attack has no impact to chain golem who has Void and shield ability. That's why Halfling Alchemist is very important to be used in all brawl battle if it's possible regarding mana, soplinters available and the ruleset. Many people used Quora at the first position as they hope that she can kill many monsters and activate her bloodlust but unfortunately, she is also pretty fragile and could die fast as all of the opponent's attack will go directly to her, so the best option while using quora is putting taunt ability at the back line.
- BUILD STRONG DEFENSE IN EARTHQUAKE RULESET -

Again, I used Halfling Alchemist in the brawl battle because of his halfling ability. Since the ruleset is earthquake, We have to build such a strong defense so I put also Flesh Golem who have heal abilty & high HP (10) plus Epona to increase all of the health point monsters by 1. The use of Brighton Bloom at Earthquake ruleset is also giving important role to prevent all monsters getting -2 HP reduction due to earth quake. At Round 2, We can see how Halfling alchemist hit Quora and reduce all of her attack became 1 melee and 1 magic only. That's the key to win this battle. Thank you @skunkybum, That was a nice battle.
- ALWAYS REMEMBER STRONG CARDS AT EVEN STEVENS & ODD ONES OUT RULESET -

In this battle, I have stronger defense than my opponent, the Thorn ability from Mycelic Morphoid, caused Serpentine Spy die right after he shot his first attack as he get -2 HP. In the other side, Uraeus attack isn't strong enough to kill my Regal Peryton since se has 6 Health Point and Uraeus attack is 3. My magic attack killed Chaos Agent and Flame Monkey first so the Uraeus could not hit My Peryton thus giving win to the Earth team. The tips for Odd Ones Out and Even Stevens ruleset is we have to remember all the key cards in both ruleset like Axemster for Odd Once Out and Unicorn Mustang for Evenn Stevens, etc. Thank you for the great battle, @sonie.

In Silenced Summoner ruleset, we won't be able to use Brighton Bloom to give all monsters flying ability, so what we need to do is to use monster who have protect ability like ferox defender, crustacean king, venari wavesmith, queen mycelia, silvershield sheriff or Tower griffin. Those cards are the most common used cards to apply protect ability and in this battle, I used venari wavesmith since I used water splinter. The double sneak monsters (pelacor bandit and sand worm) destroyed the opponent backline so fast and bring win to the water team. Thank you @blockchainff for the great battle.
