Cleanliness matters! Maintaining a clean and healthy environment radiates a healthy living. A clean environment has a lot of benefits: A fresh air, healthy environment, and healthy living. For today's blog, I want to share with you all what happened today.
Today’s Event: COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE. We assembled at Prk. Seawall,Romahan Beach, Pta. Taytay exactly 6:30 in the morning. It started with a prayer, next is our National Anthem, a welcome remarks and the Brgy. Captain delivered his message. After that, we started to clean the beach.
Different organizations and clubs in our school participated in this event. The residents in the said barangay also went to help us to secure cleanliness. Seeing the dedication of every participants to clean the coastal area makes my heart happy. We are not just cleaning but we are preserving and maintaining a healthy and a beautiful environment for everyone to live.
This is the situation appeared to me. A trash, followed by a trash, trash everywhere. Just by thinking how undisciplined and irresponsible people are, how they managed to throw their garbages in the water — questioning their awareness. Wait... are they really aware what is the consequences of their wrong doings? I guess not. Moreover, an idea flashed in my head, if we people have SELF AWARENESS AND DISCIPLINE, we can make our world a dream-like place to live. This idea was once talked by my friend when we were still on high school and this idea is still on my mind. And yes, we need this, we need to discipline ourselves, from simple doings like throwing our garbages properly and respectively. Next, awareness. Let’s be aware what are the consequences and its effects in our planet. Let’s be green and save our mother earth.
After almost three hours, here it is. I can say that, teamwork is all that we need to be able to make this event successfull. As you can see, we did our very best to clean this coastal area before the surroundings starts to heat-up. As we clean this beach, I really enjoyed putting trash in the trash bag that I brought. Aside from that, as we are cleaning, we are also doing some chitchats to lessen the tiredness we felt. Overall, I enjoyed it so much. This is our own little ways to give back to our mother nature. I am so satisfied with the result. In addition, we gave food packs to some selected residents that healped us. It was a great experience!✨
Before we end this event, our President delivered his Thank You remarks and we took pictures, from different organizations and clubs, departments and faculty and staffs of our school.
