Join me on a visit to the Science Museum in my city of Caracas, Venezuela. It is located in one of the most cultural areas of my city, in the so-called Museum Square, whose main entrance is in the Parque de los Caobos de Bellas Artes. With that said, let's begin our tour. Today, I set out to visit several cultural sites in my city, but on this occasion, I will introduce you to this magnificent museum.
From the moment you see its imposing entrance, it catches your attention. I should note that admission is completely free. When I arrived, there were several guided tours for students and visitors, so I took advantage of the tour of all its areas. The first thing I saw when I entered was a life-size giraffe; I couldn't resist the urge to immortalize that image and took my respective photo. I continued walking through the different areas and found myself in very well-lit and atmospheric places where there were different exhibitions of all kinds of taxidermied animals, as well as different archaeological pieces.
On the other hand, I noticed that there are several technological areas where everything from games to scientific topics are exhibited. They even have an area where they display everything related to COVID, the suits used, and so on, which I found extremely interesting. Everything was very well decorated according to the theme, including the lighting and decor. The entire place was very well suited to the theme on display.
There is an area where it felt like you were entering Africa, as all the animals characteristic of that country were on display in their natural environment. I must say that it is so realistic that if it weren't for the protective glass, I could swear that one of those lions could jump out at the public. I loved that, because I was able to observe all the details of these animals, which were very well cared for, from the landscape surrounding them to the original habitat they tried to simulate.
In addition, all animal species have their place, their area to be exhibited, from aquatic animals to terrestrial animals; but there was also an area dedicated to one of the world's most important non-renewable natural resources, oil. Here they exhibit the entire extraction process, the different types, and other very interesting things about this natural resource; this caught my attention quite a bit.
But one of the details of my entire tour that I loved was that there was a place with Christmas decorations for visitors to take souvenir photos of the place. And guess who took a photo? Me, happy that they had that idea, because it makes the visit to the place much more enjoyable than it already is. This image was the perfect ending to my visit to this beautiful museum, whose spacious, neo-Gothic architecture is a sight to behold. So, I highly recommend a visit if you're in my city; I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I hope you enjoyed my visit as much as I did. Cheers, friends!

Acompáñenme a visitar al Museo de Ciencias de mi ciudad Caracas, Venezuela; este se encuentra específicamente en una de las áreas más culturales de mi ciudad y está ubicado en la llamada Plaza de los Museos, cuyo acceso principal está en el Parque de los Caobos de Bellas Artes; dicho esto, comencemos nuestro recorrido. Este día me di a la tarea de recorrer varios lugares culturales de mi ciudad, pero en esta ocasión les presentaré a este magnífico museo.
Desde que ves su entrada imponente, te llama la atención. Debo acotar que su entrada es completamente gratis; para cuando yo llegué al lugar, había varias visitas guiadas para estudiantes y visitantes, así es que aproveché el recorrido por todas sus áreas. Lo primero que vi al entrar fue a una jirafa de tamaño natural; de una vez no resistí las ganas de inmortalizar esa imagen y tomé mi respectiva foto. Seguí caminando por las diferentes áreas y me conseguí con lugares muy bien iluminados y ambientados donde había diferentes exposiciones de todo tipo de animales taxidermizados, también entre diferentes piezas arqueológicas.
Por otro lado, pude observar que hay diversas áreas tecnológicas donde se exhiben desde juegos hasta cuestiones científicas; incluso tienen un área donde exponen todo lo referente al Covid, los trajes utilizados y demás, cuestión que me pareció sumamente interesante, todo muy bien ambientado según el tema a tratar, incluso la iluminación, la decoración. Todo el lugar estaba muy bien adecuado para el tema en exposición.
Hay un área donde parecía que entrabas al África, pues todos los animales característicos de ese país se encontraban exhibidos en su ambiente natural. Debo decir que es tal el realismo, que si no fuese por los vidrios protectores que tienen, podía jurar que un león de esos podía brincar hacia el público. Eso me encantó, pues pude observar todos los detalles de estos animales, que fueron muy bien cuidados, desde el paisaje que los rodeaba hasta el hábitat original que trataron de simular.
Aparte, todas las especies de animales tienen su lugar, su área para ser expuestas, desde los animales acuáticos hasta los animales terrestres; pero también había un área dedicada a uno de los recursos naturales no renovables más importantes del mundo, el petróleo. Aquí exponen todo el proceso de extracción, los diferentes tipos y otras cosas bien interesantes acerca de este recurso natural; esto llamó bastante mi atención.
Pero uno de los detalles de todo mi recorrido que me encantó fue que había un lugar con decoración navideña para que los visitantes se tomaran sus fotos del recuerdo del lugar. ¿Y adivinen quién se tomó su foto? Yo, feliz de que tuvieran esa idea, pues eso hace que la visita al lugar se vuelva mucho más amigable de lo que ya es. Con esta imagen cerré con broche de oro mi visita a este hermoso museo, cuya arquitectura amplia y de estilo neogótico es una belleza digna de admirar.
