Finally over being sick; a new start..

in Daily Blog4 months ago

*mom got some color back and gained some lbs. too!

I am finally over my coughing. (it took so long this time.. like a month maybe) and well, having to move out PLUS signing the divorce papers PLUS moving states and basically just packing up a suitcase and becoming a free loader once again (like I was as a kid.. relying on my aunt this time, who is replacing my mom, who she is also totally taking care of since mom is not so lucid anymore and can't really do stuff without help..) and it doesn't hurt that my aunt has a big house here in morro bay, cali and she still is working where she is the head person at a realty. (so she has the big bucks! :)

It just feels so strange to NOT rely anymore on my wife of 24 years, but instead step back into the role of a not so young, but single again man who has basically no income and pays no rent and has only some clothes and this laptop that I'm using to write this post.

But being at my dad's place for about 2 weeks and now that I'm here in cali.. well, I'm getting used to the idea and things do seem bright. I have (I mean my aunt allows me) to stay rent free in her big house, right next to my mom's room where I get to hear her snore every time I go use that bathroom that we share. Also, me and my uncle (my aunt's hubby, no blood relation, but he is a super nice man) and he already said we will be gym buddies and we'll go to the local gym that is close to where we live. My aunt is a real Martha Stuart type (who knew? NOT me, until now) so she is constantly putting out food and trying to stuff me with food, so I think I'll gain weight fast and I want to get way stronger, so I don't need to use my walker anymore.

So, I view this time in my life as a going back to a safe home base where I will get so much good stuff now! Yay! ☺️🌈😎🤙

Good to hear that you cough has gone now!
I hope you can arrange with your new situation and will become happier from day to day again!

Salamat! :) yes, the future looks bright again! yay!!

In times of need, it's good that you have a family to lean on. I understand how awkward it can be to live in your aunt's house because you're now an adult.Nonetheless, may you find serenity right where you are and I pray that you're mom fully recovers.

Cool. I am getting used to it for sure, and my aunt is truly a gift at this time in my life. 😉👊🌈

Your aunt has a generous heart .Someone is already blessed to have one mother, but you got two. You'll never be short in love and support. So, where a smile. You got this.😇🙏
