Last Sunday, I attended a sip and paint event. My friend was the organizer and it was such a wholesome experience, one because I was there when this event was still just a plan, the four of us were sitting down in his car at night only softy lit by that little light that was forbidden to turn on when you were in your parents car, sipping wine from our red cups. It was a two hour long conversation filled with laughter and a lot of banter. Seeing that conversation coming to life and happening before my eyes was beautiful.
Like I said earlier the event was last Sunday at his event center, there was a lot of ups and downs before that day, He had a “test event” on Thursday that week to test the set up and most importantly…. The food. It was marvelous, everything.
Anyway, the day of the event finally came and I got ready. Getting ready has to be one of my best and most stressful activities to do, there’s a lot of panic, sometimes… and a lot of hyping myself in the mirror. Well this day’s outfit was rather easy to put on because I had already decided on what to wear the day before.
So I got there a bit early to see how the whole event was coming together, I got to taste the meat fresh off the grill cause my friend was the chef handling the cooking (always know the chef guys, very important)
The event started off great, people came some early
Some late.. as usual but the event moved on.
My favorite part was that we got to paint whatever we wanted to paint! Loved it! Here’s what I painted.
I called her Ni**aKitty… get it?? You know cause she’s black lol I think I have an obsession with hello kitty. There was a lot of sipping and I mean a lot, there was shots too! A lot of that too. The vibe was great, music was playing everyone was chill and smiley, the alcohol contributed a lot to that too lmao.
I had so much fun and the event was a success, we made money and people had fun! I’m waiting on the second edition now, I’m excited in advance.
