We left around 11 in the morning, because we like to have lunch there. But, we try to have lunch around two in the afternoon, so that at night we can eat something light and not go to bed with a full stomach.
Before arriving at the restaurant we walked through one of the shops that accompanies this part of the historic center of Havana, where I live and which is the capital of all Cubans.
This is one of the most famous restaurants in the Cuban capital; both for its quality and for its location in front of the National Capitol. The place is called “Los Nardos”, but it has three restaurants dedicated to Cuban, Spanish and Italian cuisines. In this place my husband made me pose as a model and what caught my attention the most was the large number of wines available, all of great quality.
We stayed in the one on the first floor called D'Lirios, well, we liked the atmosphere, the decoration, the cleanliness and the treatment of this place, something that is common for each of the areas of the place.
The menu was very good and I ordered lamb shoulder, while my husband enjoyed some pork ribs or pork ribs, as they call it in other parts of the world.
Additionally, I was able to enjoy one of my favorite drinks called Piña Colada and enjoy other delicious dishes and desserts, such as flan and ice cream.
My husband has the virtue of knowing my tastes and how to make me spend a special day and, believe me, this was it.
The invitation to return on November 29 has already been made because on days like that we celebrate the anniversary of our relationship and celebrate a birthday for our love. I hope that, this November, the visit will be to the restaurant dedicated to Spanish cuisine, which is another delight and the dishes they offer there are of excellent quality.

Antes de llegar al restaurante paseamos por una de las tiendas que acompaña esta parte del centro histórico de La Habana, donde vivo y que es la capital de todos los cubanos.
Este es uno de los restaurantes más famosos de la capital cubana; tanto por su calidad, como por su ubicación al frente del Capitolio Nacional. El lugar se llama “Los Nardos”, pero tiene tres restaurantes dedicados a las cocinas cubana, española e italiana. En este lugar mi esposo hizo que posara como modelo y lo que más llamó mi atención fue la gran cantidad de vinos existentes, todos de una gran calidad.
Nosotros nos quedamos en el de la primera planta llamado D´Lirios, pues, nos gustó el ambiente, la decoración, la limpieza y el trato de este lugar, algo que, es común para cada una de las áreas del lugar.
El menú estuvo muy bueno y pedí paleta de cordero, mientras mi esposo se deleitó con unas costillas de cerdo o cochino, como le dicen en otras partes del mundo.
Además, pude disfrutar de una de mis bebidas favoritas llamada Piña Colada y disfrutar de otros platos y postres deliciosos, como flan y helado.
Mi esposo tiene la virtud de saber mis gustos y cómo hacerme pasar un día especial y, créanme que este lo fue.
Ya quedó hecha la invitación para volver para el 29 de noviembre porque los días como ese celebramos aniversario de relación y le hacemos un cumpleaños a nuestro amor. Espero que, en ese noviembre, la visita sea al restaurante dedicado a la cocina española, que es otra delicia y los platos que allí ofertan son de una excelente calidad.
De regreso a casa, una amiga me preguntaba que celebraba y por qué era un día especial. Mi esposo respondió por mí al decirle: Estar vivos es razón más que suficiente para que veladas como estas sean especiales.
