Hello my dear Hivers from the @dailyblog community. How are you all doing? I hope you're all feeling well and safe. Have a productive and wonderful day.

Today is quite a rainy day. But we have to head out to get some groceries. We planned to do it earlier but because of the weather we went our a bit later.

So when we reached our destination we first looked for a a place to eat. Since it takes time to get our food from fast food chains, my husband and I decided we'll just have our lunch at a nearby convenience store.

We brought our daughter Yashfeen so we don't want to wait longer as she's already hungry. She's actually craving for a spaghetti but when we went to the food chains nearby it's not available specially that there's a power outage in the area.

We chose the convenience store because it's near the public market. It won't take long for us to travel going there. My husband and I chose rice with sisig. His is a pork sisig while mine is a tuna sisig.

We ordered a donut for our daughter while I feed her some rice as well. We also got her a cone of ice cream as she really loves it. I also got a bottle of water because I forgot to bring a water tumbler.

My husband got himself a pineapple juice. Said he needed some sugar to energize him from the long drive.
We enjoyed our late lunch. Actually it's suppose to be a snack because we already had our lunch before we went off. But when we arrived here, we felt a little hungry. When we looked at the prices of foods for snacks the costs is much more compared to a proper meal. So we opted to a rice meal so we'll really be full.

We decided to have our groceries to a neighboring town which is an hour and 30 minutes drive from home. We realized we get less groceries from our town because the items cost almost double. At least here, we spend on gas about a two hundred pesos but we get more groceries compared to when we have our groceries in our town market.

Just thirty minutes or so we were already finished eating and went on our way to the market for groceries. It's still a little bit rainy but we have to do it otherwise we won't have a proper meal for the week.

We do our groceries weekly as we save more from it than buying daily. We also get fresh produces in this town specially fish because it's near the coastal town of Barobo in Surigao del Sur. It's much cheaper and fresher here. In contrast in our town it's costly because the market sellers rely on deliveries which already has more than charges on top of the prices of the fishes and meats.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!

Your little rainy day adventure turned out so wholesome. 7/11 meals really come in clutch when you're hungry and everything else takes too long. Yashfeen enjoying her donut and ice cream is so cute. And true, groceries are so much cheaper in neighboring towns 😄

Yeah it was a day of adventure. Good thing we had an early lunch or else Yashfeen will have a grumpy stomach, hehe. She loves icecream so much. Even if the weather is cold she still eats one. Thanks for reading my post and for leaving a kind comment. I appreciate it a lot!
