Hello, my dear Hivers!

What I’m about to share with you today is all about how my day went , another meaningful and productive one!

This day’s highlight was our monthly program as probation interns. If you’ve been following my previous blogs, you might remember our LEAP program, but this time it’s called iCare Program. The event was once again held at Bogo City Hall , which has become a familiar venue for us. The place is perfect for these gatherings since it’s spacious, well-ventilated , and can accommodate a large number of participants.

Unlike before, I wasn’t assigned as a reporter this time , instead , I helped assist the staff and participants during the activities.

While the speakers were delivering their talks , I couldn’t help but take a few snaps around the area. The surroundings were so calm and refreshing! The greenery around the City Hall , with its tall trees , clean pathways, and open spaces , made the environment feel peaceful and relaxing. Sometimes , just being surrounded by nature helps me clear my mind even in the middle of a busy day.

Of course, we also took some light selfies with my co-interns.

After the lecture, we proceeded to the activity part , which was an Anger Management Assessment. This activity focused on helping the iCare probationers , understand their emotional triggers and discover positive ways to handle anger. It was such a meaningful session , because it allowed them to reflect on real-life situations where they felt angry or frustrated and how they reacted at that moment. I could see that many of them were genuinely interested in learning better ways to express , and control their emotions.

During the activity, the probationers group assigned to me had a lot of questions. At first , I thought it might be challenging to handle , but it turned out to be a great experience! Their questions showed how curious and willing they were to understand themselves more deeply. I found it fulfilling to see that they were not just participating for the sake of attendance , but really trying to grow and change for the better.

An hour later , the session finally wrapped up. My co-intern, Jared , and I decided to return to the office to finish some pending paperwork. While walking out of the venue , I noticed how well-kept the surroundings were. The parking area, in particular, caught my attention , aside from the neat rows of vehicles , there were also different kinds of plants and mini landscapes that made the place look lively. It’s amazing how small details like plants , can make a big difference in creating a pleasant environment.

And that’s how our iCare Program day went, full of learning, reflection, and calm moments in between.

I’ll be sharing what happened next , including our quick office time, my packed lunch, and a visit to our school’s opening of classes , in my next blog! Stay tuned!
