My clay pots are here!

A few months ago (month of July, I think?), my colleagues and I had a pottery making activity in Liloan Cebu. This fresh experience truly enhanced my creativity and artistic side since I get to design my own pot. They say we can create usable mugs and plates, so I made just that.

Fast forward to today, I finally received my pots. Albeit late because I haven't returned to the office, where it was delivered, for quite some time. The Pottery owners did the heating and cooling of our creations before delivering it to us. Two of these pots are for my friend Vina (it has her initials "VDB"), and three for me.

Upon checking the pots, I don't think I'll ever use it for drinking or eating, despite endorsement from the pot experts. Maybe I'll just have it displayed in my room. Next time, I'd like to try other clay materials for pottery. Stoneware Clays are best for dinnerware and functional pottery while porcelain clays are used for delicate pottery famous in China. These are some of the expensive clays for pottery.

Here are the pots barely fitted in my bag. I gave one of my vase pot, my least favorite, to our Sr manager because it can't fit in my bag anymore. Had I known that these were heavy, I would've brought a tote bag with me in the office.

The organizer of the creative hands club also gave us free acrylic paints for our pots. We were supposed to do it together in the office but due to frequent calamities here in Cebu (earthquake and typhoon), the club decided to let us do it on our own.

Excited to paint these pots for my next project!

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

With love, Jane

I haven't tried something like this but looks like fun!

It was. First time ko naka gawa ng pots.

How much per head? Ang mahal kasi ng pottery sessions dito sa Maynila. hehe

500 pesos per head. Kasama na 2 pots Nyan. For addtl pot, add 100 pesos.

mura! Dito kasi thousands of pesos per head ang pottery sessions hehe

The pots looks really nice. It would be very fun to try making pots too. I hope we have something like that here but sadly we don't have that here. Can't wait what the pots look like after you paint it! And also keep safe another typhoon is making a chaos in the country.
