Double the Fun: Finally Seeing Old Friends

It's amazing when you meet up with old friends, like no time has passed. I got to see my friend Sarah, which was cool, but seeing her twins was the best part. I hadn't seen them since they were tiny!

I remember them as these two crazy little kids, always giggling and running around. I used to hold their hands when we crossed the street and buy them matching clothes for their birthdays. Life got busy, and we ended up just sharing photos and video calls. Seeing them grow up online wasn't the same as being there.

I was nervous and excited when I went to their house. Would they even remember me? Turns out, no more toddlers! Now they're these awesome little people.

They've grown a lot, but it's their personalities that stood out. They're totally their own people now. Emma, who used to be shy, started telling me all about her school project, waving her hands around as she talked. Liam, who was always watching everything, checked me out before smiling and asking if I still like baking cookies.

We hung out all afternoon, and it was perfect. They still have that twin thing, like knowing what the other is thinking with just a look, but they also have their own ideas and jokes. And no more matching clothes!

Sarah is doing a great job raising them. She's not treating them like just twins, but as two different kids who were born on the same day.

I felt great driving home. It made me realize how important it is to not let too much time go by. Kids grow up so fast, and you see it in how they change, not just how tall they get, but who they are. I missed some of that, but I'm glad I got to see them now. They're not just the twins anymore, they're Emma and Liam, and they're awesome.
