Today was very boring. In the history of celebrating Eid, this year’s celebration will not favor salary workers since it will be celebrated before “pay day”. The Eid has been scheduled to either be celebrated on the 21st or 22nd of this month. I want to believe that’s what has made the banking hall very dry and empty.
As boring as it was I decided to sketch anything around me just to keep myself busy and not sleepy. I sketched a flower vase in the banking hall. It has been here since the branch was built. You can see that it looks weak. I’m actually planning to get a scrub book for my, so whenever I feel like sketching I could use it and also keep them. Sketching in a piece of papermakes me loose my art.
Few people started coming after 12noon to the bank. I took the opportunity to go and offer my prayers. After I had finished praying, a coworker called me to her desk and asked me to kindly do her a favor. She always has a lot on her plate since she is the personal banker. She had asked me to kindly scan some cheques for her. Mostly these are the cheques that people prefer to directly deposit into their accounts and not cash them out at the counter. These cheques can be an in house (the same bank) cheque or CTS ( different bank) cheques as far as everything on the cheque is correctly done and presented.
I decided to start with the in house cheques since they will be authorized by our operations manager and credited immediately into the customer’s account. Whereas the other banks cheques takes three working days to be credited. It has to be reviewed by that particular bank’s head after being scanned, they decide to pay or not.
I realized the first cheque I took wasn’t signed by the payee yet presented and received by the personal banker. I want to believe because she has a lot on her plate, she wasn’t able to see it. I prompted her and the customer was called to come for it and return it back to the payee.
By 5pm I had finished scanning all cheques waiting for each cashier to balance so I enter their balancing figures in the excel according to each denomination sold to the vault. Everything I do here needs my ultimate attention, if I should input wrong figures or shift the denomination, we would have to spend the whole day in the banking hall looking for the overage or shortage.
I finished balancing the figures and entering them into the log out book. We closed early today, due to less pressure in the banking hall.
I left work at around 5pm. It was very cloudy. Everyone was rushing to get home before the rain, hence we face a bit traffic.
Just before ten minutes to reach my house, the rain started heavily with wind. I could barely see the road.
We decided to park and sit in someone’s shop to wait for the rain to stop before we continue our journey.
The rain stopped and we continued our journey. I got home tired. It was time to break my fast , I observed the obligatory prayers and tuned on to watch the latest episode of a movie series(All American ) which I have been following since 2018. Yeah I’m that loyal to my movies😃. Especially when the movie is worth the wait.I was dozing off a bit while I watching. Probably is because I wasn’t snacking😃. I have a lot of sleep debt to pay😂. I’m not used to sleeping early. I stay up late every night, regret it in the morning and then do it all over again.
I was prompted on my phone to get ready to sleep. I wrapped everything I was supposed to do and prepared to sleep.

I started to work today, after a short vacation time... hmm, I will miss those days when I could stay at home or go on some mini excursions. Your sketch is cool ;)
Yeah it’s a feature on IOS. I’m hoping to stick to it so I don’t wake up angry and regretful😂
I almost took my leave this week and I decided to take it in December, so I can enjoy the holidays with my family on a small vacation trip.
Or sleepy as me hahahah
