Espero se encuentren muy bien, hoy les vengo a compartir mis andanzas del día de ayer, tuve un día agradable y cargado de muchas emociones en compañía de éste hermoso niño que se llama Nelson David, éste niño es como mi sobrino, fué un gusto para mi acompañado a él y a su familia a su primera consulta a un neurólogo infantil, les cuento que Nelson David es hijo de unos amigos que viven fuera de la ciudad en una zona rural que a veces es difícil el transporte allí.

Días atrás estuvo enfermo le dió una fuerte gripe con mucha fiebre, fiebre tan altas superiores a 38°, mi niño hermoso convulsionó. Cuestión que nos asustó a todos, especialmente a sus padres. Cuando lo llevaron a un centro de salud, el medico que le atendió recomendó que lo llevarán a un neurólogo. Yo me ofrecí a buscar la especialista agarrar la cita y acompañarlos a la consulta.

Los padres estaban bien preocupados, realmente es la tercera vez que convulsiona en distintas oportunidades y al tener fiebre, pero esta vez tardó más en recuperarse, hubo cambios en su conducta, estaba somnolientos después de tener ésa convulsion, se veía un poco quieto o tranquilo, para lo que es su personalidad de un niño sano y activo. Ante ésta situación lo mejor era buscar ayuda profesional y éso fue lo que hicimos.

Bueno la doctora lo examinó y lo encontró bien gracias a Dios, le hizo pruebas correspondientes a su edad y habló con el.
Le recetó medicamento para fiebre y uno para convulsiones, nos explicó, que cuando el niño esté con gripe hay que tratarlo con zumo cuidado darle el remedio para fiebre tenga o no tenga fiebre cada ocho horas, también se debe administrar el anticonvulsivo tal como lo indicó, solamente cuando esté con fiebre, para evitar alteraciones en el cerebro y así no vuelvan las convulsiones.

Algunas convulsiones no son generadas por presentar problemas de epilepsia,nos explicó la doctora que éstas son convulsiones febriles causadas por fiebre muy elevada causada por alguna infección viral.
Aunque las convulsiones febriles puedan parecer graves, la mayoría de ellas son leves no necesitan tratamiento y no causan ningún daño cerebral . Pero igual para descartar cualquier cosa otra cosa nos aconsejó realizar un estudio un electroencefalograma dentro de tres meses.

Fué una salida muy beneficiosa para todos, aprendimos mucho sobre las convulsiones y como evitarlas, nos generó tranquilidad saber que lo de mi niño hermoso no es cuidado, yo aprendí mucho tuvo tres hijos que ya están grandes y nunca tuve frente a una situación similar.
También vimos muchos niños con distinta condición como autismo, Asperger, niños muy imperativos y madres fuertes, valientes dedicadas por completo al bienestar de sus hijos, realmente mis respetos y admiración por ellas Dios las bendiga.
It was a very beneficial outing for all of us, we learned a lot about seizures and how to avoid them, it gave us peace of mind to know that my beautiful boy is not taken care of, I learned a lot, he had three children who are already grown up and I have never faced a similar situation.
We also saw many children with different conditions such as autism, Asperger, very imperative children and strong, brave mothers completely dedicated to the well-being of their children, I really respect and admire them God bless them.
