Just because it's Sunday... A bit of my day

The day started as I opened my eyes to the world at 5:14 am where I immediately did my morning devotion up until 6 am, then dashed out of my room to wake my siblings and cousins because it's our tradition to cook before going to church on a Sunday so that we don't have to start cooking when we return back after service, especially when everyone would be hungry.

I am the master planner and supervisor at home and I make sure everything goes well without any error whatsoever. We started by picking the beans and then washed them into the pot to be cooked on the firewood. It took an hour for the beans to be done, then next was cooking rice which also went well. While that was cooking, I instructed the guys in the house to sweep the whole house, mop the floor and clean the window glasses, the three of them shared the tasks among themselves, and all was done quickly.

Service in the church was at 9:30 am, and by 8:15, everybody was done with their tasks as we headed to the bathroom to take our bath. Others left before us, while my brother, one of our cousins and I left home at 9:30 am. Our church isn't far, and we can trek to the venue in 10 minutes.

I was in the mood to take photos as I pleaded with my cousin to take some shots of me because I knew I dressed beautifully, and the sneaker was one bought for me by my sister in Germany, which she sent home some months ago. I was walking to church like a princess because of my outfit.

We were almost getting to the church when I took more shots. I love the view of the sky too, and there was the sun to make it more colourful.

This is our church, a big building. Before entering, my brother took some shots of himself while I also imitated him and I love the results.

I thought service would end on time, but because the choristers were doing their yearly anniversary plus some families' thanksgiving, the whole program took longer than I expected. When I couldn't stay anymore, I left the church with my brother and this was at 2 pm. The truth was that I became hungry, and my head hurts, so I stood up to be on my way home. I bought a biscuit and maltina drink just to calm the hunger in me and to allow me walk home as I was already shaking due to the hunger.

Getting home, I quickly fried some plantains, warmed the soup as it was already cold and served those who were at home - that's how my Sunday went, and still moving because it's not the end of the day yet.
