A few days ago, there was a Christmas fair in Square Pichincha in Cumana. I happened to be passing by and didn't hesitate to stop and see what was on offer. This time, my husband and daughter came with me. Little Alma stood looking at the stands selling decorations and crafts, particularly nativity scenes, nutcrackers, little houses, and rag dolls. Of course, she wanted to play with everything, so I had to convince her to go somewhere else to prevent her from breaking something.
The fair was very well organized, with different types of food for sale, from empanadas and sweets to hallacas. There was also an area dedicated to the sale of dressings, vegetables, and pork leg, all at very affordable prices. Among the exhibitors were educational institutions and agricultural communities such as Cerezal, Monegro, and Río Arenas, among others.
I also saw a business selling cocoa and chocolate from Paria, products that were sold in different forms. I liked seeing these local initiatives because the manufacturing quality was evident.
To complement, enliven, and attract attention, several singers and musical groups performed live. The gaita dominated the stage with its rhythm, the atmosphere was quite festive, and people passing by took the opportunity to take a stroll and enjoy the offerings, just like us, who were passing by on our way home and stopped to enjoy a pleasant family experience.

Hace unos días, en la Plaza Pichincha de Cumaná, se realizó una Feria Navideña, por casualidad pasé por allí y no dudé en acercarme para observar lo que se ofrecía, además en esta ocasión me acompañaron mi esposo e hija. La pequeña Alma se quedó mirando los stands que tenían adornos y manualidades, destacaban los Nacimientos, cascanueces, casitas, y muñecas de trapo. Por supuesto que ella quería jugar con todo, así que tuve que convencerla de ir a otro lugar para evitar que rompiera algo.
La Feria estaba muy bien organizada, había venta de comida de diferentes tipos, desde empanadas, dulces y hasta hallacas. También había una zona dedicada a la venta de aliños, vegetales, verduras y pernil, todo a precio muy accesible. Entre los expositores estaban instituciones educativas y comunidades agrícolas tales como Cerezal, Monegro y Río Arenas, entre otras.
También pude observar un emprendimiento de venta de cacao y chocolate procedente de Paria, productos que se vendían en diferentes presentaciones. Me gustó apreciar estas iniciativas locales porque se apreciaba una buena calidad en la manufactura.
Para complementar, alegrar y llamar la atención, varios cantantes y grupos musicales sonaron en vivo, la gaita dominaba con su ritmo todo el escenario, el ambiente era bastante festivo y las personas que iban pasando aprovechaban para dar una vuelta y disfrutar de las ofertas, al igual que nosotros, que pasábamos por allí rumbo a nuestro hogar y nos detuvimos para vivir una experiencia agradable en familia.
