Siguiendo con lo que fue esta experiencia, mi primera vez en Caicara de Maturín para esta celebración cultural, nos ubicamos en el día 28 de diciembre, el gran día de este evento folclórico llamado El baile del Mono🐒💃🏽, donde se reúne mucha gente de distintos lugares del estado Monagas, para bailar al ritmo del Mono, mucha cultura, ventas e invitados especiales para la noche, donde se arma tremenda fiesta🎉, también te pintan si pasas por el desfile este día, así que debes procurar no llevar ropa que te guste mucho.

Continuing with what was this experience, my first time in Caicara de Maturin for this cultural celebration, we were located on December 28, the big day of this folkloric event called The Monkey Dance🐒💃🏽, where many people from different parts of the state of Monagas, to dance to the rhythm of the Monkey, a lot of cultures, sales, and special guests for the night where a tremendous party🎉 is armed, they also paint you if you go through the parade this day, so you should try not to wear clothes that you like a lot.
El día anterior, después de una larga tarde atendiendo, nos fuimos a dormir a una posada cercana al negocio.
Fue cómoda, aunque tengo unas pequeñas quejas para dejarles en el buzón y es que ¡Hacía mucho frío y no había suficientes sábanas!😭 mis pobres primos, mi hermano y yo congelados.
También fue gracioso ver el televisor tan pequeñito y que no tenía señal, no trasmitía ni los canales locales. 😂
The day before, after a long afternoon attending, we went to sleep at an inn near the store.
It was comfortable, although I have a few small complaints to drop in the mailbox and that is that it was very cold and there were not enough sheets!😭, my poor cousins, my brother, and I were freezing.
It was also funny to see the TV so tiny and had no signal, it didn't even transmit the local channels. 😂

Pese a todo, dormí muy bien y descansé, lo necesitaba porque este día fue realmente agotador, no sabía lo que me esperaba.
Llegamos al negocio, donde ya se encontraba mi familia, limpiando y acomodando todo, me uní a ellos después de desayunar rápidamente, debo decir que los momentos para comer eran graciosos, pues nos escondíamos tras las grandes neveras de licor y comíamos rápidamente para luego salir a atender.
Despite everything, I slept very well and rested, I needed it because this day was exhausting, I didn't know what was waiting for me.
We arrived at the store, where my family was already there, cleaning and arranging everything, I joined them after a quick breakfast, I must say that the moments to eat were funny because we hid behind the big coolers of liquor and ate quickly and then went out to attend.

Eran aproximadamente las 9 AM y ya la gente se acercaba a comprar licor😳, notándose el ambiente de celebración desde bien temprano. También veíamos el desfile de gente disfrazada y las parrandas haciendo su camino al Monodromo.
Me pareció muy gracioso el ingenio de los señores para guardar su licor, porque no aceptaban botellas de vidrio en el evento, por seguridad. 😂
It was about 9 AM and people were already approaching to buy liquor😳, noticing the atmosphere of celebration from early in the morning. We also saw the parade of people in costumes and the parrandas making their way to the Monodromo.
I found very funny the ingenuity of the gentlemen to keep their liquor because they did not accept glass bottles in the event, for security reasons. 😂

A medida que iba pasando el día, se hacía mucho más pesado.
Almorzamos un rico pollo a la broaster, cortesía de mi madrina, además de pasar el día comiendo pasapalos que habían sobrado del día anterior, por ese lado no podía quejarme.
Pero debo decir que la verdadera pesadilla fue en la tarde, la gente no paraba de comprar, no podía sentarme ni 1 minuto porque siempre llegaba un cliente, yo estaba impresionada, feliz por mi madrina claramente, pero tuvimos que trabajar bajo bastante presión.
As the day went on, it got much heavier.
We had a nice broasted chicken for lunch, courtesy of my godmother, plus we spent the day eating snacks left over from the day before, so I couldn't complain.
But I must say that the real nightmare was in the afternoon, people did not stop buying, and I could not sit down even for 1 minute because a customer was always arriving, I was impressed, and happy for my godmother clearly, but we had to work under a lot of pressure.

Nuestro plan era que tipo 6 PM nos estuviéramos alistando para irnos al Mono, pero como había tanta gente comprando, no queríamos dejar el negocio, no fue hasta las 9 PM que llegó mi madrina con más mercancía que se había agotado y nos dijo que fuéramos a disfrutar, que ya estaba más que bien así.
Nos fuimos a la posada para bañarnos y alistarnos, yo intentando disimular mi cara de zombie y mi primo intentando no dormirse, estábamos realmente cansados, pero mi hermano si que quería irse a celebrar, aquí debo decir que la juventud falló😭😂, mi primo y yo siendo más jóvenes, acabados.
We planned that around 6 PM we were getting ready to go to the Mono, but as there were so many people buying, we did not want to leave the store, it was not until 9 PM that my godmother arrived with more merchandise that sold out and told us to go and enjoy, it was more than ok.
We went to the inn to shower and get ready, me trying to hide my zombie face and my cousin trying not to fall asleep, we were really tired, but my brother wanted to go celebrate, here I must say that youth failed😭😂, my cousin and I being younger, defeated.
Llegamos al Monodromo y nos encontramos con los amigos de mi hermano, había muchísima gente, en comparación con el día anterior, la música estaba en su top, las personas bailaban felices. 💃🏽
We arrived at the Monodromo and met my brother's friends, there were a lot of people, compared to the day before, the music was at its top, and people were dancing happily. 💃🏽
Después de un rato ahí, nos dio hambre, así que mi primo, mi hermano y yo nos fuimos a dar una vuelta por los al rededores del Monodromo a ver qué conseguíamos y terminamos comiendo unas ricas hamburguesas, debo decir que 10/10, muy ricas.
After a while there, we got hungry, so my cousin, my brother, and I went for a walk around the Monodromo to see what we could get and we ended up eating some delicious hamburgers, I must say that 10/10, was very tasty.
Volvimos y estuvimos escuchando a los artistas invitados que subían al escenario, aunque yo no conocía a la mayoría, como La melodía perfecta y demás.
We came back and listened to the guest artists that were on stage, although I didn't know most of them, like La melodía perfecta and so on.
Mi primo y yo realmente no aguantábamos las piernas, después de pasar todo el día parados, de aquí a allá, trabajando, de verdad que lo único que queríamos era irnos a dormir y así fue. 😞
Lo siento hermano mayor, te fallamos, quizá el próximo año si lo disfrutemos más y nos quedemos a bailar, espero. 🤞🏽

My cousin and I really couldn't stand our legs, after spending all day standing around, going from here to there, working, we just wanted to go to sleep, and we did. 😞
