We currently live in a generation where most youth don't want to engage themselves in a particular skill that will benefit them but rather prefer to make easy money by not working at all and that is a sign of laziness if you ask me. There are alot of graduates out there who have been waiting for government jobs for a long time and till date they haven't gotten any job yet and only after waiting for so long did some them decided to engage themselves in skills that will earn them a way of living.
I know for certain that the world is changing into a digital era where things can be handled remotely without even breaking a sweat or lifting a hand to do anything but that does not change the fact that the human mind and energy is the greatest weapon to ever exist because what we do with our hands, the creativity we display on different scale, the ability to be flexible in our decisions makes us stand out and superior to any artificial being or algorithms.
Just some days ago while I was at work in a particular site, we encountered a problem with our excavator while it was working. Before that day we never had any serious challenge with the machine but unfortunately it chose to breakdown without any prior warning or sign for us to see. What happen was that a pin that was holding the track together just removed and fell making the whole thing fall to the ground.
It was a challenging moment because we were in a village where it's difficult to see people passing that particular road and finding somebody that will fix our problem in that village was impossible. As a result, we had to abandon work for that day and drive to another town to bring a welder that will work on the machine for us the next day because that was the only available option for us.
The man came and welded some places that needed welding and handled some other things also which only took about 30 minutes to 1 hour but the fee he was charging was kind of much. He requested we pay him a sum of 70,000 naira for the job since we were the one that came and took him from his shop to come and handle our problem which he did. We bargained with him for awhile before he accepted 50,000 naira and left.
After he left, I began thinking 70,000 for a job of less than 1 hour? And we have alot of people that are underrating this particular skill and claiming it's not worth their while and will rather wait for a government job which might take forever.
As far as you are not working for the government or any private organisations, it's important to learn a skill that will keep you moving even if you already have an online that pays you because nothing is certain in life. You can be sacked from your job at any moment and you will be left with nothing but regrets and I thy know.
Learn a skill today and you will never regret that you learnt it.

Keep continue discovering your skills.
Indeed @desyah07, learning something is important than being idle.
Indeed sir, been independent is everything, because it seems even the government workers are not been compensated enough, I will always choose productivity coupled with skills than just waiting for government empowerment or job. @samarijr0 #learnaskilltoday
Nothing is ever certain when it comes to the government, so as they say prevention is better than cure.
Learn something today to avoid regrets tomorrow.
Thank you sir @chizzy100
"...the human mind and energy is the greatest weapon to ever exist..." Very well said!
We all have the tendency to be more than just okay.
The more your skill, the more value you attach to yourself
Yes sir @deelex21, we can achieve anything in life as long as we are determined and persistent.
