Uffda. Forced rest is not fun, especially when pain is involved. I am glad you felt up to producing a tasty pie, and that you got to admire the peonies. Mine bloomed a couple of weeks ago, but my sister's (over in the Mission Valley) just got in gear last week. Just in time to get beat up by heavy rain, as usual.
I had to giggle, that is exactly what happened to the peony up here, right when it went full glory it got deluged lol!
We have an immense amount of construction going on up here at the moment, so I have plenty to distract me with for sure, mostly keeping mud out of the house, the amount of rain we have had is respectable!
