When "Wellness Break" turns into Work and Fun! - Values Learned Beyond the Classroom!

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

This is one of the best verse I ever read in my whole life!

Hello to everyone here on hive! I hope you're all having a great day! I'm back again to share another glimpse of our simple daily life. This week, the kids are on their wellness break from school, that's why they're all at home right now.

Earlier this morning, while I was hanging my laundry outside, I noticed my nieces and cousins gathered on the ground. I looked at them and felt delighted by what I saw. Guest what? instead of playing, they were helping our uncle clean the ground and load soil onto a dump truck.

It’s Tuesday today, but they’re not in school because they’re on their "Wellness Break" which lasts for a week. It was heartwarming to watch them work together and voluntarily helping our uncle, instead of holding their phones or gadgets, they were holding shovels and brooms. Other children at their age are not into this task, and they might be holding their gadgets and sitting or sleeping on their bed instead of helping their parents at home. One more thing is they didn’t mind getting their hands dirty and didn’t complain at all.

What I witnessed perfectly fits the purpose of their "Wellness Break". This kind of activity is like an exercise, because it makes them sweat and tired. It’s good for their health too, though and also this activity teaches them the value of hardwork, even through simple tasks like this. After all, our parents are gardeners or farmers, so they’ve learned these skills naturally as they grow older.

It makes me happy to see them helping out willingly, without needing to be told or scolded. Even in simple chores like this, I can see their sense of responsibility and cooperation. At a young age they can perform basic or simple tasks without telling them what to do or asking them for help.

That's a simple glimpse of our daily life and I hope you'll like it. Thank you so much and have a great day!

Please stay safe and keep on smiling!

Mabuhay!

So inspiring, love how the kids chose to help instead of play, such a beautiful lesson in responsibility and teamwork

That's absolutely right 👍 I'm also thankful that these kids are so responsible 😊

Wow! What a productive and fun Wellness Break! Salute to you and to your lovely companions! 😇

Yeah 😅,I'm also surprised that this time the kids were helping without telling them what to do, because usually they tend to play with their phones. thank you so much.

Filipino core value "Matulungin", the people in our country are often called "hospitable",and children are highly observant, and whatever they see the adults do, they will do too.

You're absolutely right 👍

thats a powerful verse that parents should keep in mind...children must be taught how to become a responsible child at a young age..congrtas mommy lou for inculcating these good values to your kids

You're absolutely right 👍💯 thanks to our parents as well

😘😍😍😍

It’s wonderful that even at a young age, they already know how to work and help. They’ve been trained in household and practical tasks, so when they grow up, they’ll already know a lot about different kinds of work. This will also serve as their inspiration as they pursue their studies. Such kind and responsible kids
