Free coworking space with skyscrapers view

in Daily Blog2 months ago (edited)

The boundless sky meets tall buildings, I saw it behind large window on the 3rd floor of this building. It's called the Koridor Coworking Space, located inside Siola—a public building which functions as an Occupation Service Office in the city of Surabaya.

Koridor has 2 areas called Paduraksa and Ruang Baur, each has quite different design so that visitors can choose a place to work according to their preferences. Both have several spots that lead directly to all views of the surrounding buildings. However, Paduraksa seems to be designed for group visitors with the seating arrangement like that.

Meanwhile, Ruang Baur has more diverse spots—there are more than 10 computers ready to use for public, cubicles for those who want a private little corner, and of course those spots with large windows facing the skyscrapers.

As far as I remember, I first visited this place even before I entered college. Then covid came, so obviously this place not operating for a while. And after that, there’s a new system where we have to register and reserve the seats in advance via the official website. However, its so convenient cs we can choose the seat and its time period. Because apparently, there are 3 shifts a day: 8-11am, 11am-2pm, and 3-6pm. Each account can only make reservation for a maximum of 2 shifts per-day.

I actually prefer to reserve directly from 8am-2pm but sometimes its just too early, because we can't be more than 30 minutes late from the check-in schedule or our account will be blocked for a week😂 but more often than not, the staff will help to recover it right away and let us in with a warning not to do it again.

But sometimes I go until 6pm to take some footage and experience the evening and night atmosphere in the area. Koridor Coworking Space is 100% free for the general public to use. This place is very suitable for students or freelancers who need space to do some work without having to spend money.

Thankyou for reading, I appreciate it :) I'll see you in the next daily blog!

Is there a 24 hours co-working spot in Surabaya? I'd love to know if there's a space like that 😆

@atemuz24 help me to answer you question because unfortunately thats true, I didn't know any 24 hour co-working space here. But I know coffee shop that open for 24 hours, maybe I'll write about that too😁

Hello, @macchiata! I regret to say I am unaware of any Surabaya round-the-clock co-working areas. Koridor, upon which I wrote, is free but operates on fixed hours. Perhaps looking online for "24-hour co-surabaya" or browsing Google Maps listings could help you locate what you&'re looking for. Best of luck with your search!

thankyou so much for helping me to answer😁
