Hello Hive community, how have you all been? For this blog, I just want to share how my day went recently. It wasn’t anything fancy, but I felt like writing about it because sometimes the small moments are the ones that make life feel special.

After spending a month in the city, we are finally back in our province in San Remigio. The city was busy and loud, and although it has its charm, being back in the calm of our hometown felt like a breath of fresh air. Even though the tremors are still ongoing, they are not as strong as the aftershocks we experienced before.

The first day here, we decided to set up our tent outside as a little place to hang out during the afternoon. It was so hot inside the house that the tent became our own little escape. Inside, the house is still a bit chaotic because of the recent typhoon. We have not had the chance to tidy up everything yet, but that is part of the charm of being home again. Things feel alive and lived-in, even with the mess.

Looking at the greenery around our house is incredibly calming. The trees make the air feel so refreshing. I feel lucky that my family chose to live in a place with more nature and fewer people. Living surrounded by trees rather than crowded houses gives a sense of peace that I do not think I can find anywhere else.

Sitting in the yard and just taking in the green scenery, I feel like time slows down. It is quiet enough to hear the rustle of leaves, the occasional bird singing, and even the faint sound of the wind moving through the branches. It makes me appreciate the simple beauty of life, away from the noise of the city.

We also have a new addition to our family. Our doggy arrived recently, a gift from my father’s aunt because her dog recently just gave birth. We could not resist saying yes when we saw how adorable she was. She has black fur with little patches of brown on her head, which makes her look both cute and unique.

For now, we are calling her Baby because we have not found the perfect name yet. She is surprisingly polite and well-behaved for a puppy. She does not bark nonstop like some other puppies, which I personally love. I enjoy how calm and gentle she is. She makes the afternoons even more enjoyable because having her around adds warmth to the peaceful atmosphere. Can you suggest a name for her? ^^

My sister also decided to try something new. She wanted to color her hair for a long time, and since there are many hairstylists who offer home service in our town, she finally gave it a try.

By the afternoon, my mom started cleaning the dried leaves that had fallen around the yard. She carefully gathered them and set a small fire to keep the mosquitoes away. Since our house is surrounded by trees, mosquitoes tend to be everywhere, so this has always been a practical and necessary activity.

Watching the smoke rise and swirl into the air felt nostalgic. My family has done this since I was a child, and seeing it now brings back memories of simpler times. We are careful not to burn plastics or anything harmful. We only burn dried leaves or strands that have fallen from the trees, making it safe and environmentally friendly.

Spending time in the province again, surrounded by nature, family, and even a little chaos, makes me feel grounded. There is a rhythm to life here that I do not always notice in the city. Sitting outside, listening to the calm, and enjoying the little things, I feel a sense of contentment that lingers throughout the day. That's all for this blog, thank you for reading and see you on my next! ^^
