Things are moving along well, I'm glad to report. We are going through a transitional period with @mantequilla-soft and, by proxy, @threespeak. It seems like some hard decisions cannot be postponed anymore, but I suspect things are going to work out just fine in the end.

I am a little sad, I admit, at the possibility that @snapie's witness might have to shut down. This is not a decision I've made just yet, but tightening the belt is part of the survival game. I guess when it's all said and done, math will dictate the outcome. But I'm not going to lie, the mere possibility already feels bad.
At any rate, I'm working hard with @tibfox on getting the internal guts of @threespeak rearranged, so to speak. We hit some important milestones today, and that's enough reason to celebrate. A new instance of MongoDB, a backup, and a reassignment of the primary copy all happened without much of a hiccup. Restarting @threespeak services took some hit and miss attempts, but we seem to be up and running well at the moment.
A new update on the Threespeak Encoder has also been deployed. An edge case became so common that I was finally able to get my hands on a raw file before it got deleted. Turns out people upload videos with no audio quite a bit, and the solution is to add a silent track. Who knew? The encoders, at least the ones I operate, are now running the new code, and videos without audio should work from now on.
I hope in the coming days to announce yet another relaunch of @threespeak. This time, it's not only about the new features, which I think are going to surprise a lot of people, but also because we are being forced to migrate away from Vercel. An operational cost we can't delay addressing much longer.
I trust that as long as we put in the work, much of the ordeals and challenges we'll face during this transition will remain completely transparent to users. Or at least, that's my hope.

Appreciate all the work you guys are putting in...Fancy enough, I raved about it a bit in my post lol
Its a very weird time on chain. I'm seeing all these amazing things being developed, yet because of the price of the token...Witnesses and nodes are in flux. Just sucks man, I wish I could do more to help.
is there any documentation to what a 3speak node would need to run ? after setting up 2 witnesses and a seeding node was wondering if i als could host a 3speak node or does it require a dedicated video card ?
yes of course... I made it a point to do so.

nice, will start and play with it ..
oops running in to some NPM issues ...
and as result ..
The dashboard won't load.
this must mean your node version is not compatible. what version are you running?
this is a fresh install on a ubuntu 26.04 desktop VM , using your install.sh
What an interesting article/post to read! It's really good to work hard in silence. Quiet grind surely leads to loud success. Kudos to all of you!😇
Sorry for that :|
I'm uploading videos now with audio. I assigned that task to my dev but I fired him. I am also doing a lot of cost cutting. It's just me 15-jun onwards.
there's no other choice at these prices... the markets can remain irrational, longer than we can remain solvent.
I had 3 devs. One was fired in Jan-2026.
Now firing both remaining. Both are sad to go & I am too. In this AI era, it is tough out there. They aren't getting new jobs & I can no longer afford them to keep paying out of my pocket. Praying for miracles now.
nice. i like the pictures u make for ur posts. pretty cool! :)
Excellent devlog, @meno. It's great to hear that the MongoDB migration and primary copy reassignment went smoothly. Thanks for your hard work behind the scenes.
All the best MenO for mammoth changes.
